Following St. John Paul II in fighting antisemitism

Twenty-five years ago this Sunday, the Vatican published “We Remember: A Reflection on the Shoah,” one of John Paul’s many efforts to bring healing to the Catholic Church’s relations with the Jewish people.

Pope John Paul II loved sports. As pope, he hiked and skied. He even built a swimming pool at his summer residence to stay in shape.

Soccer may have been his favorite sport. When young Karol Wojtyla and his Catholic friends engaged in a pickup game against the local Jewish boys, he always volunteered to play goalie for the other side to create even numbers.

Some of those Jewish boys remained lifelong friends with “Lolek the Goalie.”

During his formative years as a young priest, the future pope witnessed the horrors of the Second World War. He lived through the Nazi Holocaust and the post-war Soviet reign of terror. When he became pope, one of his fondest desires was to help heal the wounds of the genocide.

Twenty-five years ago this Sunday, the Vatican published “We Remember: A Reflection on the Shoah,” one of John Paul’s many efforts to bring healing to the Catholic Church’s relations with the Jewish people.

“On numerous occasions during my Pontificate, I have recalled with a sense of deep sorrow the sufferings of the Jewish people during the Second World War,” he wrote in the 1998 document’s introduction. “The crime which has become known as the Shoah remains an indelible stain on the history of the century that is coming to a close.”

During his 26-year pontificate, John Paul worked to atone for the Catholic Church’s errors. He apologized to women, people convicted by the Inquisition, Muslims killed by Crusaders, and many others who suffered at the hands of the Church — including Jews.

John Paul not only apologized to Jews. His heart ached for them. “It is my fervent hope that [this document] will indeed help to heal the wounds of past misunderstandings and injustices,” he wrote 25 years ago.

“May the Lord of history guide the efforts of Catholics and Jews and all men and women of good will as they work together for a world of true respect for the life and dignity of every human being, for all have been created in the image and likeness of God.”

A quarter century later, however, violent anti-Jewish sentiments are again on the rise.

In its latest audit last April, the Anti-Defamation League found that antisemitic events reached an all-time high in the U.S. in 2021, with 2,717 incidents of assault, harassment, and vandalism. This is the most incidents reported to ADL in a year since it began tracking in 1979.

Senior Catholic bishops — including Pope Francis — from around the world are urging Christians to fight this worldwide rise of antisemitism.

Archbishop Christophe Pierre, papal nuncio to the United States, emphasized the need to stand against increasing hostility to Jews.

“May today’s event help us ‘Never Again’ to choose violence against our brothers and sisters in the human family — ‘Never Again’ to turn a blind eye to such violence being enacted in our midst,” he said during an online event in February hosted by the Combat Antisemitism Movement.

The archbishop’s statement echoes John Paul II’s October 9, 1988 address to Jewish leaders in Strasbourg, France. “I repeat again with you the strongest condemnation of antisemitism and racism, which are opposed to the principles of Christianity.”

John Paul also took his efforts for reconciliation into the diplomatic realm. He established diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Israel in 1993 after the two states approved a Fundamental Accord.

“Jewish-Christian relations,” he said, “are never an academic exercise. They are, on the contrary, part of the very fabric of our religious commitments and our respective vocations as Christians and as Jews.”

During the Great Jubilee in 2000, he made his one and only papal visit to Israel. (He had gone on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1963, shortly before being named archbishop of Kraków.)

During the papal visit, he prayed at Jerusalem’s Western Wall, leaving a written prayer expressing sorrow for Jews’ suffering at the hands of Christians. The most touching moment of the pilgrimage was his address at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.

“I assure the Jewish people that the Catholic Church, motivated by the Gospel law of truth and love and by no political considerations, is deeply saddened by the hatred, acts of persecution, and displays of antisemitism directed against the Jews by Christians at any time and in any place.”

In 1991, Cristina Odone, then editor of the Catholic Herald, described John Paul’s long-standing passion “to place his Church at the heart of a new religious alliance that would bring together Jews, Muslims, and Christians in a great armada of God’s troops on earth.”

If the saintly pope’s passion is to be realized in our day and the poison of antisemitism is to be eliminated, it will take more than just diplomatic gestures. It will take a true conversion of heart for millions.

Like the young Karol Wojtyla, we must learn to “play goalie for the other side” by standing with the most vulnerable. Only then will John Paul’s passion become reality.

About Patrick Novecosky 1 Article
Patrick Novecosky is a Virginia-based journalist, author, international speaker, and pro-life activist. He met Pope St. John Paul II five times. His latest book is 100 Ways John Paul II Changed the World.

  1. Good grief, Mr. Novecosky cites the ADL as an authoritative source. Why not also reference the reports of the SPLC? Also, perhaps Novecosky might identify who is carrying out a disproportionate number of these anti-Semitic attacks. Perhaps, though, that would not be in keeping with the narrative he is trying to make everyone accept.

    • Well said. I came to the comments to say just what you have said. Plus, “anti-Semitic” is now a meaningless word – it is just anything the Jewish activists don’t like.

    • “Good grief” says it all and well, saying it at the wailing wall of Jerusalem and at the wall of falling Catholicism.

  2. I recall that when Pope John Paul visited the “wailing wall” the rabbis there forbid him to enter unless he removed his pectoral cross. That was not a friendly gesture. Actually, it was the obligatory gesture. The Talmud claims that Jesus sits in Hell boiling in excrement, and that his mother was a “party-girl” who took up with a Roman soldier. Those boys with whom Karl Wojtyla played soccer are irrelevant to the role of Jewish people throughout history. I have no problem with condemning genocide and respecting all peoples. But, that does not mean I will ignore the war on Christians and Christianity, especially, on Catholics. Here is a quote from the Talmud, the morally authoritative Scripture of Judaism: : “Christians are allied with Hell and Christianity is worse than incest.” (Babylonian Talmud, Avodah Zarah 17a)….”Going to prostitutes is the same as being a Christian.” (BTAvoda Zarah)….”Those who read the Gospels are doomed to Hell” (BT Sanhendrin 90a)….”When the Messiah comes he will destroy the Christians.” (BT Sanhendrin 99a) (from Michael Hoffman’s book, “Judaism Discovered.”)

    • God’s word is used to humble us and explains the condition of mankind!

Isaiah 53:1-12 Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. …

Acts 12:1-25 About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. He killed James the brother of John with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread. And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church. …

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

      • Brian Young: We Catholics have a proverb about one’s depth of study and height of understanding of the Bible and where that leads them: “Weak Catholics become Protestants/Evangelicals; Strong Protestants/Evangelicals become Catholics.”

      • Brian Young, has an article headlined
“Martin Luther and the Jews” on Friday
        October 5, 2007 by
        Joe Whitehead about the
Anti-Semitism of Protestant Reformer Martin Luther, the comments people gave are a must read , would Martin Luther have Supported Hitler and the Murder of 6 Million Jews, some argue he would have, others say no , that he would have had a tiny shred of decency , I doubt Luther is in Heaven, Luther is largely to blame for the Holocaust, and God holds Luther Responsible for the Holocaust

        • Dear Benjamin:

A few years ago, I read Luther’s remarks on Jews. To say they were offensive would be an understatement. It is hoped that God showed him the errors of his ways and that he repented. Indeed no man is perfect!

Hitler hated Christianity as he did the Catholic Church. His predisposition was the occult. It would be speculation to suggest Luther would have supported Hitler. Conjecture is only that and for us to play God and condemn another’s soul to perdition is never our place.

To ascribe blame for the holocaust towards Luther, would be a stretch and then some. Maimonides, the brilliant polymath had unreserved disdain for Jesus, yet we can not discount the overall excellence of his work. Not only Jews died, but Lutherans and Catholics in defending Jews. They are referred to as “righteous gentiles” by the Jews.

Read the following words of the Lord. He is the one who gives understanding and makes things clear.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

1 John 5:19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Deuteronomy 28:15 “But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.*

Malachi 2:2 If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honour to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.

Lamentations 2:17 The Lord has done what he purposed; he has carried out his word, which he commanded long ago; he has thrown down without pity; he has made the enemy rejoice over you and exalted the might of your foes.

Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

2Samuel 7:14 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men,

          God bless you,

          • Brian Young, A person replied to the Question of Martin Luther if he would have Supported Hitler and the Murder of 6 Million Jews that
“He wouldn’t have partaken in it himself but if he saw a Jew burning he would have toasted marshmallows on it.”
While Luther was a good theologian in some ways, he was still a very Wicked, Evil, Demonic person , definitely a False Prophet in many ways

        • Dear Benjamin:

We share many views as we celebrate the God of Jacob. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Alas, I know little of Luther, though the preaching I’ve heard from the Lutheran Church has been of a high order, with no hint of antiSemitism. We have already touched on his undignified remarks regarding Jews. He was wrong, as you and I agree.

Your comment of today (March 29, “he was still a very Wicked, Evil, Demonic person , definitely a False Prophet in many ways”, needs to be substantiated. Take one point and let’s examine the proposition!

In the joy that is Jesus Christ; from your brother,

    • You misunderstand what the Talmud is. It’s a multivolume collection of opinions of many, many scholars. The insulting material you quoted is in there but by no means represents the totality of Jewish teaching on Jesus and Mary. One could cite equally disgusting statements about Jews made by Popes and saints.

I invite readers to check out the descriptions of Michael Hoffman’s books that Amazon sells before judging him a trustworthy authority. These titles–only a sampling of his works–propound some of the most bizarre conspiracy theories I’ve encountered in my long years of research into such matters. Of course, being a daughter of Abraham would disqualify my testimony in some quarters, wouldn’t it?

      • Just a collection? I submit that the Talmud form the cultural center of the Jewish people, whether they study it directly or not. That is to say, atheist Jews harbor hostile sentiments to Christians. For example, Saul Alinsky, an atheist, was proud to be a Jew and supported Jewish causes. He thought nothing was wrong with abortion. He though that it was unrealistic for a man to be married to the same women until death. He successfully conned Catholics, including bishops, into funding his political activities which eventually included such stalwarts of morality as Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama. The main problem of modern society is not anti-Semitism, it is Christophobia. It takes many forms, for example, the war in Ukraine has Christians killing Christians, as did the two World Wars. The LGBT gang represents an direct assault on Christianity. Some Jews have even stated that abortion and the LGBT agenda are Jewish issues. Norm Abrams wrote an article bragging that pornography is a Jewish industry. Its purpose is to undermine the hold of Christianity on American culture, which includes the moral law as well as the civil law. And then there is Jewish art, “abstract expressionism,” another attack on Christianity and the culture it inspired. Sarah Silverstein, a famous commedienne said that she would crucify Jesus all over again. Seth Rogan made an anto-Christian movvie, “The Night Before.” Hollywood, an industry created by Jews, made many other anti-Christian films. Recall that Hollywood, for a few decades, worked under the Production Code, which was mostly a Catholic creation. It broke the code in 1964 with the production of the film, “The Pawnbroker,” a story about a Jewish Holocaust survivor. It featured a Black prostitute taking off her shirt, in other words, pornography. Wow! The threat to the bishops and Catholics should be obvious: if they object to a film about a Jewish Holocaust survivor and a Black prostitute, they must be racists. So, what happened? Nothing. It appears that today Catholics and other Christians are still hiding in the upper room, “for fear of the Jews.”

      • We’re all sons & daughters of Abraham but some of us hold that blessing through blood rather than adoption.
It’s a real pity at this late date we still have the same sad stereotypes going on. I suppose human nature doesn’t change much but I’m hoping that, like some types of racism, antisemitism becomes a generational thing & passes away.

  3. A man of understanding and compassion. The church was blessed to have his leadership.

Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, and you shall tread upon their backs.”

Genesis 12:1-3 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Romans 11:2-5 God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.

Romans 3:1-2 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? Much in every way. To begin with, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God.

  4. Just how pressing of a problem is anti-Semitism today? A quick check of the Biden Administration cabinet reveals that his Secretaries of Treasury, State, and Homeland Security, Attorney General and Chief of Staff, just for starters, are Jewish. A review of the richest people in the world shows that a heavily disproportionate number are Jewish. Jews wield extensive control of the news and entertainment media. The influence of AIPAC over Congress is a widely known, but rarely discussed, fact. Facts seldom get the attention they deserve when this issue is brought up.

    • Facts to any impartial observer would see anti-Catholicism in Biden and not what you see. Watch his grilling of Clarence Thomas over ‘Natural Law” and realize that this Catholic was in the bottom 10 of his law class and shouldn’t be assumed to be less lazy and stupid in regard to Catholicism

      • Robert Berger,
President Joe Biden is himself Catholic, what
“Anti-Catholicism” do you see in him ? Anyone else like
        Timothy Cardinal Dolan of
New York City, he seems very
        warm and friendly

  5. If antisemitism was a reality then how come so many Jews are in charge and doing so well, from government positions, banking. the music industry to dull Hollywood movies.
They seem to be doing fine to me.

    • again this is anti-semitic. Some are doing well , some are not. Those , like Zuckerberg, who has a site overflowing with anti-Semitic hate , don’t care. You think they do.

    • Annabel, Jews originally got into movie & entertainment venues because it wasn’t considered a respectable, high-status way to earn a living. No one else took that opportunity. The Irish were in a similar boat as the Jews. Like the Jews they were excluded from respectable business circles & ended up in circus & vaudeville acts or opening chains of theatres.

  6. In the opinion of most scholars, the Talmud only refers to Jesus in a handful of places, and though these references may not reflect the courteous ecumenicism of the modern world, neither are they particularly inflammatory. Some of the condemnatory passages in the Talmud that have been wrongly cited by other commentators as a reference to Jesus are in fact a reference to the biblical figure of Balaam, the pagan magician who sought to curse the Jews as they traveled through the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. This is not to say that historically Jews have historically borne no animus towards Jesus and the Apostles, or to Christianity as a whole. In the two-thousand year relationship between Judaism and Christianity, many of them marred by anti-Jewish polemic and Christian persecution of Jews, some rabbis have fulminated against the church, and in some places Jews developed a folk literature that demeaned Christianity. But contemporary antisemitic polemicists are not interested in learning or reporting about the historical development of Jewish-Christian relations. Their goal is to incite hatred against Judaism and Jews by portraying them as bigoted and hateful. Their use of the long-discredited Balaam hypothesis is another example of this phenomenon. For an exhaustive analysis of the actual references to Jesus in the Talmud, see Jacob Z. Lauterbach, Rabbinic Essays (Cincinnatti: HUC Press, 1951; reprinted by Ktav, 1973), pp. 473-570.

  7. How many Jew-Haters, Anti-Semites and Anti-Israel Bigots ever Stop to realize that many Jews and people who are part-Jewish don’t like being Jewish either or looking Jewish and are self-hating Jews and part-Jews and are Non-Religious. And they are terrified of
    The Always Rising Anti-Semitism
Many Jews and part-Jews do Not like being Jewish or looking Jewish, are the Anti-Semites and Jew-Haters aware of that ?

    • It’s true. To assimilate perfectly is to reject one’s heritage. Historically assimilation has been a survival strategy for Jews but it’s also the cause of Reform Judaism’s demographic shrinkage. If you visit Florida today, you can see that in play. Reform synagogues are being taken over by Chabad communities who have large families & celebrate their Jewish faith traditions.
A decade or so ago, there was a piece perhaps in the NY Times about Reform Judaism losing more members through aging & assimilation than any other faith community. I think mainline Presbyterians may have caught up with them by now. I suppose progressive Methodists & Episcopalians are right behind.

  8. On the topic of
    Anti-Semitism, Jews & Israel ,
A Superb website is Jewish Task Force by
Chaim Ben Pesach, based on the teachings of the late
    Brooklyn born
    Rabbi Meir Kahane 1932-1990

    • Rabbi Meir Kahane 1932-1990 was a gifted man. One of discernment and far reaching in his analysis of what the Jews could expect. Israel would have greatly benefited from his wise council had there been a willingness to contemplate the soundness of his message.

His courage was indomitable and he was never flustered by his harshest critics. Some of his messages found on u-tube are worth the time invested.

      God bless you

        • Dear Benjamin:

Thank you for the link. Alas my computer wouldn’t connect. Would it be too much to ask if you would extrapolate to give a quick overview?

          With regards,

      • Brian Young, the fact is that many Christian Supporters of Israel had respect and admiration for
Rabbi Meir Kahane when he was alive, they realized that
Meir Kahane was a living legend and a Hero that Rised out of the Ashes of the Holocaust, they might Not have agreed with
Kahane on Everything, but they still had Admiration and Respect for Him
Some have said that while it is good that the Vatican, Catholic Church and Pope Francis are Very Much Against Anti-Semitism and Jew-Hatred which is good. Still why do they often side with
        Palestinians over Israel

        • Dear Benjamin:

Good work from your chair. There is a website by the name of “”. The speakers have a high regard for Kahane’s work and share his desire for the wellbeing of Israel. For those who who love the God of Jacob and His ancient people Israel, it offers insight and proposes sensible solutions.

You touch on the Palestinians and so we should. The Bible offers stern rebukes for what we term the Palestinians. He says, because they have ben so unreasonable and hostile to the Jews, there is no hope for them. The exception would be those who come to Christ.

Arnold Fruchtenbaum from Salome Ariel Ministries, has a very insightful analysis on the Arab nations in Old Testament prophecy. He is a man of outstanding knowledge of the Tanakh and scholarly in his dissertation. It is an eye opener for one who might be interested in the subject.

          God bless you,

          • Brian Young, the sad fact is Palestinian Arab Christians also Hate Jews and Israel with a Passion. That’s the sad ugly Truth, Meir Kahane was a Vital Part of New York City History, born in Brooklyn and tragically Killed in Manhattan, it’s terrible how the Public High Schools don’t teach the students about Kahane, like they do with
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other historical figures

          • Dear Benjamin:

Your response dated Mar 23/2023 is an eye opener! Within all Christian denominations there is misunderstanding and animus amongst some that call themselves Christian’s. This is sad and should not be. Others hold the view that the church has replaced the Jews as God’s instrument of salvation. This is not the case.

The Church has been trying to evangelize the world for 2K years, with only a modicum of success. It will be cataclysmic events and the 144K Jews (supernaturally protected) going forward to proclaim the Gospel that will cause many to come to Christ. There is a good deal more to say on the subject, however:

Zechariah 8:23 Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

Revelation 7:3-8 Saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: 12,000 from the tribe of Judah were sealed, 12,000 from the tribe of Reuben, 12,000 from the tribe of Gad, 12,000 from the tribe of Asher, 12,000 from the tribe of Naphtali, 12,000 from the tribe of Manasseh, 12,000 from the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 from the tribe of Levi, 12,000 from the tribe of Issachar, …

Daniel 9:3 Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.

            God bless you,

          • Brian Young, just curious about your Religious Belief , are you Christian, Jewish or Messianic Jewish ? Some Jews have said that Anti-Semitism, Jew-Hatred will Never End , that the Hatred of Jews will continue for All Eternity, what do you think is the Root Cause of Anti-Semitism ? It’s an Extremely Complex Intricate Hatred , which is why it’s so difficult and often impossible to “Fight Anti-Semitism” , do you believe that
God will just passively allow Anti-Semitism, Jew-Hatred, Anti-Zionism, Israel Hatred to continue for All Eternity ? I wish the Hatred would End completely once and for All Forever , Not just be reduced , it’s so horribly unfair and unjust that Jews have always been Hated and Persecuted More than All Other Groups of people in the World COMBINED, does the Bible Verse Zechariah 13:8 and it’s context , Zechariah 13:8 about the two-thirds of Jews being killed , does that refer to the Holocaust of World War II when 6 Million Jews were killed, or does that verse and context refer to a Future Second Holocaust , maybe even Worse than the Holocaust of World War II, one Holocaust was Enough. I hope and pray thers is Never Another Holocaust in America, Israel or anyplace else in the World.

        • Dear Benjamin:

Your prayers are those of a righteous man. That you want to eliminate the scourge of antiSemitism is God honouring. It will end when Satan and his followers are cast into the lake of burning sulphur, for eternity.

The holocaust foreshadows the prophecy of Zechariah 13:8. It represents Jews that don’t believe in God or go out of their way to dishonour Him. A strong body of scripture supports this devastating verse, yet some are sworn enemies of God, consequently unrepentant.

The good news is that God loves the Jews, those who worship Him in spirit and truth. There is an even stronger body of scripture to support this truth.

Right now the earth is under the power of Satan. We see clearly how of devastating this is, yet God still intervenes and will end Satan’s reign in the fullness of time. We do not have to worry for God is ultimately in control. He is the God who brigs down to death and raises to life.

As far as my belief, I am an Evangelical Christian. If you would care to discuss matters in more detail we can.

God bless you as you strive for comprehension and discernment.

          In Christ’s name,

          • Brian Young, so you confirm that
Zechariah 13:8-9 and it’s context refers to the Nazi Holocaust of
            World War II,
            Some online articles have said
            Psalm 102 along with
Psalms 39-45, & Jeremiah chapter 30 were also prophecies about the
Nazi Holocaust of World War II.
While I pray that there is Never a Second Holocaust, in your opinion do you think it will happen ?

          • Brian Young, a person typed on
            Rabbi Meir Kahane that
“Rabbi Kahane was a bridge to the Bnái Nohach as required in Acts 15:21. We have not forgotten his blessed memory.” What do you think about that comment, also what is your opinion of
Chick Tracts , by the late
            Christian Cartoonist
            Jack Chick ,

          • Brian Young, hope all is well
            In your comment of
MARCH 23, 2023 AT 9:46 PM to me you typed
            “Dear Benjamin:
Your prayers are those of a righteous man. That you want to eliminate the scourge of antiSemitism is God honouring. It will end when Satan and his followers are cast into the lake of burning sulphur, for eternity.” So you confirm that
Jew-Hatred, Anti-Semitism, Anti-Israel Hatred will Ultimately End Once and For All Forever, not just be Reduced, but End Completely Forever, that Jews will Not be Hated for All Eternity. Many Christians have said that
Anti-Semitism is Satanic and Demonic. Many Jews have become pessimistic and said that
Jews will always be Hated forever
With the always Rising Anti-Semitism, Jewish Self-Hatred is always Rising as well, many Jews and people who are part Jewish do Not like being Jewish or looking Jewish either and wish they were born Fully Gentile
I wouldn’t be surprised if even many Messianic Jewish believers in Jesus don’t like being Jewish either, even in Israel many Jews are leftist and self-hating wishing they were Not born Jewish
Many Jews and people who are part-Jewish have an inferiority complex

        • Dear Benjamin:

A point of clarification, Zechariah 13:8-9 does not refer to the holocaust. Rather the holocaust was a harbinger (a warning) to the Jews to repent and worship God alone. It is astounding to think that two thirds of the Jews in Israel will perish! It is a great source of sadness, yet what God says is always true. The verses are very contentious, however love is being forthright!

Malachi 4:1-3 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

Matthew 24:21-22 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Eschatology (end times) is a topic that I am not overly familiar with. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Michael Brown or CJF Ministries would have comprehensive information on this important topic. Ignatius Press should have insightful material as well.

Is there protection from this impending catastrophe? Yes there is!

Within the church there are those who worship the Lord in spirit and truth. Those individuals would pertain to the Church in Philadelphia as presented in Revelation

Revelation 3:7-10 7“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. 8 “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

Some view this as the “rapture”, however others hold this opinion is incorrect. Where and how God keeps us safe does not matter. His promises are sure and irrevocable and that is what is fundamental.

God bless you for He cares for you,

          • Dear Benjamin:

A pleasure to hear from you today (Apr 5, 2023. Hopefully this will come to your attention!

You refer to Acts 15:21! Allow me to add some cross references that may shed further light on your query!

Acts 15:21 For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”

Acts 13:15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it.”

Acts 13:27 For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.

2 Corinthians 3:14-15 But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains un-lifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts.

Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.

Nehemiah 8:1-12 And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate. And they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the Lord had commanded Israel. So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could understand what they heard, on the first day of the seventh month. And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. And Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that they had made for the purpose. And beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah on his right hand, and Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam on his left hand. And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people, and as he opened it all the people stood.

On the “Israel Now” website (which i previously left a link) there was some discussion of Kahane and it revered his memory. Check it out if you have time, they are committed to the wellbeing of Israel.

The name “Jack Chick” is one that I am not familiar with, so I am not able to comment!

Once again, many blessings, hopefully this has answered some points you raised.

            Yours in Christ,

        • Dear Benjamin:

In response to your post of MARCH 24, 2023 AT 7:33 AM, I did reply, however it seems it did not pass muster with the “Moderator”. The topic is controversial and subject to interpretation. Nevertheless, I respect the decision of CWR!

Concerning Zechariah 13:8-9, it is my opinion that it does not pertain to the holocaust. Al Runge from CJF Ministries has an excellent overview on the subject. I’ve listened to it many times and it is blessing. Arnold Fruchtenbaum or Michael Brown would have some worthwhile insight as well. Ignatius Press should be another source!

          God bless you,

        • Dear Benjamin:

Easter blessings and blessings for all time.

God is in control, His timing and purposes cannot be thwarted. He has good plans for the Jews, yet the Lord separates the wheat from the chaff as He will do with Christians.

Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Deuteronomy 28:1- “And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. …

Romans 11:1-36 I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. …

Romans 9:1-33 I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen. …

Romans 2:28-29 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

Acts 1:6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Pray diligently for those whom you love and care for.

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing,

          Your brother in Christ,

      • Brian Young, years ago I found this song on YouTube called
“A Special Man” it was made by Michael Elias to Honor the late
Rabbi Meir Kahane 1932-1990 listen to the words/lyrics in the song, doesn’t it Perfectly Fit the Description of the Life and Person of Jesus in the Bible Perfectly ,of Jesus of Nazareth
Don’t misunderstand, I am Not comparing Meir Kahane to Jesus Christ or vice versa
But you have to admit that the
Lyrics in this song make you think of Jesus himself
        The Lord Jesus Christ !!
The song with footage can be found here

        • Dear Benjamin:

Yes, I did hear the song and enjoyed it again. To me one if Kahane’s finest moments was when he was in a meeting discussing his agenda. Someone crashed the meeting, accosted him, pouring a bag of blood over his head. He wiped himself off as best he could and said “God is good.” He was calm and carried on.

In the midst of provocation he praised God. Is there a greater testimony, when one is so badly treated, yet gives adoration to God?

The CD I mentioned with Al Runge from CJF Ministries is titled “The focus of Jerusalem in Prophecy” or something to that effect! CJF would be able to guide you. It is so insightful about a range of issues and was very reasonable to purchase. Also saw him on U-Tube giving a sermon on resisting temptation.

His gentleness, intelligence and love of mankind is a reminder of why God chose the Jews, as He did.

Blessings as you share and learn,

          in Christ’s name,

          • Brian Young, do you agree that the lyrics in the song
            “A Special Man” about
Rabbi Meir Kahane, that the lyrics remind us of Jesus !! An
            Amazing Coincidence !!
Plus The really sick messed up thing is that If History had gone Differently and if there was Never a World War II, And Never a Holocaust, All of the Christian Churches in 2023 would be teaching the same old Hate-Filled Toxic “Theology” that made the Nazi Holocaust happen, The Extermination of Six Million Jews happen. That’s the sad Ugly Truth. We Cannot sugarcoat or whitewash the sad Ugly Truth
It took the Evils of the Nazi Holocaust, The murder of Six Million Jews and the Guilt it Produced, To Force the Christian Churches to officially Change their old Anti-Semitic Doctrines, Teachings and Theology that directly led to the Nazi Holocaust and made it happen.
It took the Murder of Six Million Jews, The Enormous Magnitude of the Nazi Holocaust and the Guilt, Shame it Produced to Force the Christian Churches to Change their teachings about Jews, Such as Jews allegedly being
            “Christ-Killers” etc
If World War II and the Nazi Holocaust Never Happened, We All Know the sad Ugly Truth that All of the Christian Churches in America and Worldwide would Still be Teaching Virulent Hatred of Jews in 2022 as if it was still
The year 1920 or Medieval Europe in the Middle Ages.
            Dr. Michael L. Brown a
Jewish Believer in Jesus said all of Christianity, All of the Christian Churches and Denominations of Christianity should Cry Out in Repentance and Remorse, weep and shed tears for 2,000 years of Christian Anti-Semitism that directly led to and caused the Holocaust, and make certain it Never Happens Again , be Proactive in Keeping Jews Safe in America, Israel and Worldwide
            All of the books by
Dr. Michael L. Brown are worth reading
            Many Christians have said
Anti-Semitism is Satanic, Demonic and a Horrible Sin , even more of a Sin than other Racial and Religious Hatreds
Jews are Human Beings with Feelings also.

        • Dear Benjamin:

Repentance is needed, yet the author of evil and misunderstanding is Satan, the arch enemy of the God of Jacob. It is of such magnitude that the battle belongs to the Lord. We find ourselves here on earth, yet without God, helpless! However with God, able servants of the Most High. Still we owe God’s ancient people gratitude and a heartfelt request for forgiveness.

2 Chronicles 20:15 And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.

1 Samuel 17:47 And that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

We all face death and yet, we serve God who is able to raise to life.

Deuteronomy 32:39 “‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

Ezekiel 37:3 And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.”

Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.

God has high expectations from those who believe in Him and serve with willingness. Let us put our foot in the door and see how God directs the sons of Israel.

Psalm 81:11-12 “But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels.

Ezekiel 3:7 But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

Hosea 4:7-10 The more they increased, the more they sinned against me; I will change their glory into shame. They feed on the sin of my people; they are greedy for their iniquity. And it shall be like people, like priest; I will punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. They shall eat, but not be satisfied; they shall play the whore, but not multiply, because they have forsaken the Lord to cherish

Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore, thus says the Lord: You have not obeyed me by proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and to his neighbour; behold, I proclaim to you liberty to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine, declares the Lord. I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

We find explanation and direction from the Lord. Nevertheless, God has not forgotten Israel, for He gives the sons of Jacob hope and blessing.

Isaiah 65:17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.

2 Peter 3:13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Isaiah 66:22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain.

We are united in our appreciation for Michael Brown. Was heeding a lecture of his one day and asked my wife to come and have a listen. We were both duly impressed. One comes away blessed by his godly insight The other two men I mentioned in another post to you, are outstanding and a great blessing to a Christian or a Jew who is curious about Jesus the Good Shepherd.

The words of the song extolling Kahane could be applied even more to Jesus Christ. As Al Runge says, “If only the Jews knew how much Jesus loves them”!

Finally, God changes the hearts of men. God is hope and positive development within a man who has confessed Jesus as Lord. These are end times for former enemies now come as friends and helpers. Not everyone, however God changes the hearts and minds of men.

          God bless you,

      • Brian Young, the thing is
Meir Kahane was a follower of the
Orthodox Branch of Judaism, he didn’t believe in Christianity or in Jesus as the Messiah,
Kahane was such a Living Legend that some Jews may have even believed that he was the Jewish Messiah !! Since Orthodox Judaism and other branches of Judaism are still waiting for their Messiah
The night that Meir Kahane was Assassinated, could you imagine him standing before
God the Father and Jesus Christ and God the Father saying to
“Meir, you were a Great Hero to Your People and Nation of Israel, but my Son Jesus Christ is the True Messiah” can you imagine the Utter Shock that Meir Kahane would feel , since in his Earthly Life
Kahane would Never have accepted Jesus or Christianity
Others Jews that liked Meir Kahane may not have viewed him as the Jewish Messiah, but they definitely viewed him as a
Modern Day Prophet sent to his people, A True Prophet

        • Dear Benjamin:.

God is more powerful than our persuasions and missteps. Over time I have wondered if jesus would appear to a man as his life slipped away. Not to everyman but one beloved by God! Whether my hope is misguided, God knows the answer.

Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”

Ecclesiastes 12:7 And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Would I be mistaken to question whether some Jews have confessed Jesus on their deathbed?

It has been said that the orthodox Jew is most likely to accept Jesus as Messiah. To me it is heartbreaking to think Kahane would not be with the Lord. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob does great and wonderful things, never give up hope.

Through our correspondence, I wonder if you are a Messianic Jew? You rely on the power of God and bring His word forward. Over the years it has been my prayer and hope to communicate with someone as yourself.

          Thank you, God’s richest blessings,,

        • Dear Benjamin:

Though I responded to your post of MARCH 27, 2023 AT 3:53 PM, it seems that the “Moderator” has rejected my probe. Nevertheless, I am a guest and the host is always to be respected. 🙂

Hope is vital and the Lord is mighty to save. Let us rejoice in His mercy. Some verses for reflection.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Isaiah 55:8-12 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.

Micah 4:12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.

Psalm 40:5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.

Isaiah 45:7 I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Psalm 92:15 To declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.

Nehemiah 9:6 “You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.

2 Chronicles 19:7 Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.”

Deuteronomy 32:4 “The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

          God bless you,

      • Brian Young, I think we can all agree that when Meir Kahane was
Assassinated on Monday November 5, 1990 that God himself was crying, God himself wept and cried when Meir Kahane died, all 3 Members of the Trinity cried and wept for Meir Kahane, St. Paul cried ,etc
Because Replacement Theology aka Supersessionism is False, the Jews are Still God’s Chosen people, the Church has Not Replaced the Jewish people
The Good News is that the Bible Teaches that ultimately in the Future, only God Knows when, but ultimately in the Future countless great people in Human History who are currently alive and conscious in Heaven will literally Return to this Physical Planet Earth to Live Forever on the New Earth with Glorified Physical Bodies
So Meir Kahane will be Back !
        He Will Live Again !
The Story of Meir Kahane is
Not Over ! Meir Kahane and countless other Great people in Human History will Ultimately Return to Earth !! The Nicene Creed even has the words
“We look forward to the Ressurrection of the Dead and the Life of the World to Come”

        • Dear Brother Benjamin:

There is no “replacement theology” The word of the Lord stands forever. The New Testament is a Jewish Book. It is a continuation of the promises made to Israel in the Tanakh. We still await the fulfillment of some of the prophecies, however we see prophecy fulfilled in our own time with the rebirth of Israel and her greening and prosperity.

Isaiah 66:8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labour she brought forth her children.

2 Peter 1:21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

          • The promises God made to the Israelites were all fulfilled in Christ and extended to the rest of mankind through the Church. The Jews must therefore enter the Church in order to receive the benefits of these promises. Those Jews who reject Christ have therefore cut themselves off from God’s promises. Their persecution of Christians in Israel demonstrates this.

As these articles show, Zionist settlers hate Christians. They are followers of the Sanhedrin that called for Christ’s death. They are not the saintly victims you portray them to be.

          • @VAG

            Dear VAG:

Firstly, none of us are saintly. Everyday we ask for the forgiveness of sins. God predicted the rejection and death of the Messiah. He used the Romans and Jews as His instrument to fulfill prophecy. Jesus died for the sins of the world, so you and I are are also guilty of Him being nailed to the cross. Let us not cast stones for it was God’s will that He perish, in order to defeat Satan and bring justification to the believers in His death and resurrection. Justification is a legal declaration that is given to the believer in Christ.

Has the church brought the Jews to Jesus? It will be God who brings the Jews to accept the Lord Jesus.

The two websites you provided provided ample reason for the Jews to eschew the Church. Most unwelcoming and judgemental. Without godly knowledge people perish.

There are more prophecies (promises) to be fulfilled. The Jews can stand on those promises and they will be accomplished in God’s timing.

If we truly welcome Jews into the church, we will satisfying God’s will. If we show love as God loves us, our witness will bear fruit.

            God bless you,

  9. As a long-time and intense student of the Bible, I find this question screams “I am not really a Catholic”– up to 80% of the Bible is Old Testalment. I was in a Catholic religious order, got a Bible degree from all Pontifical University, taught in a diocesan seminary …and everywhere is this downgrading of the OT. Stupid and immoral to act as if most of the Bible is now NA just because you equate it to Judaism

  10. I doubt the perpetrators of ant-Semitic attacks listen to the Pope, and if they did listen, what he said would not stop them.

  11. E. Michael Jones has brought forth this cogent argument: Nostra Aetate teaches that the Church “reproves displays of anti-semitism” but the document doesn’t define what that term means. Who gets to define it? The ADL? The ADL says that opposing abortion, sodomy, and masturbation is anti-semitic (

To be good Catholics, do we now have to support those things? If 400 Jewish organizations say abortion is a fundamental Jewish value (, who exactly have we been “dialoguing” with for the last 60 years?

Is it a sin to criticize a Jew’s behavior? If you answer yes, please explain how our Lord “sinned” when He called the Jews the sons of Satan.

The identity question is full of obfuscation. One is a Jew if one is born of a Jewish mother. If one is baptized, one is no longer a Jew, but a Catholic. Baptism has a real effect on one’s identity.

The Jewish identity is the awaiting of a natural messiah in opposition to the Supernatural Messiah (; and rejection of the Cross in favor of the sword. The result is messianic revolutionary politics. Whether it is manifested as ethno-nathionalist Zionism, materialistic communism, or occult talmudism – the continuity from the the Crucifixion to now is the Jewish Revolutionary Spirit. (

    • “To be good Catholics, do we now have to support those things?”

To be thinking Catholics, do we really have to ask this question?

Yes, the ADL is often deeply ideological. We agree on that.

      E. Michael Jones is often reprehensible in his remarks about Jews. It’s a sort of dark sickness with him.

Nostra Aetate does state that “in her rejection of every persecution against any man, the Church, mindful of the patrimony she shares with the Jews and moved not by political reasons but by the Gospel’s spiritual love, decries hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism, directed against Jews at any time and by anyone.” I think it’s reasonable to conclude that “displays of anti-Semitism” would include anything urging and inciting hatred, violence, and persecution of Jews.

Jesus, in John 8, addresses specific Jews who reject him and his words. He certainly isn’t referring to all Jews, for the obvious reason that the apostles, early disciples, etc. were almost entirely Jewish. He makes a key and ongoing distinction between those who hear him and believe in him and those who willfully reject his message and attack him.

A little thinking and some context goes a long ways here.

      • “E. Michael Jones is often reprehensible in his remarks about Jews. It’s a sort of dark sickness with him.”

This borders on calumny. You have not listened to, or read enough of Dr. Jones to understand what he is trying to say. He approaches the Jewish Question from both a Catholic teaching perspective and solution, that worked for centuries: Sicut Judaeis Non (do not harm the Jew, but also do not allow them to subvert your culture). A teaching that will result in the least amount of human suffering and death, while saving the greatest number of souls, including the Jews. Was St Paul an anti-Semite when he called Jews the enemy to all mankind, and God’s wrath has come upon them until the end (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16)? Was St. John “urging and inciting hatred, violence, and persecution of Jews” when he called them the synagogue of satan in Revelation 2:9? How about the entire Gospel of John, which many rabbis have called anti-Semitic and want to see banned? Criticizing the Jewish subversion of our Christian culture, which is destroying us today, is not anti-Semitic. In fact, it takes great courage. Dr. Jones is not a racist, this issue has nothing to do with race. I urge you to read his books, and open your eyes before it’s too late. We’ve all been hoodwinked since the false ecumenism of Nostra Aetate. And now the world is on fire.

PS. You neglected to mention that yes, Jesus is not referring to all Jews in John 8, because many Jews accepted him as the Messiah and were converted. The Judaism of our Lord (Mosaism really) was fulfilled on the Cross, the Mosaic Covenant no longer exists (which Nostra Aetate confuses). The Rabbinical Judaism practiced today is younger than Christianity, and much of it based on the highly blasphemous Talmud – not to mention the Kabbalah (occultism). The Jewish identity is a negative one, because they still consider themselves chosen, yet they continue to reject their own Messiah. This has made them revolutionaries against the Christian moral order – Jesus Christ – the Logos incarnate.

        • Steve D. In your above comment of March 15, 2023 you took various Bible verses
Out of Context to unjustly demonize Jews. There are many different possible interpretations, you have to look at the historical context as well
Dr. Michael L. Brown and others commented on the verses you listed

      • To truly love Jews means to work for their salvation, and to work for their salvation means to be honest about their errors. We do the Jewish people no good by putting them on a pedestal and groveling before them.

“Jesus, in John 8, addresses specific Jews who reject him and his words…He makes a key and ongoing distinction between those who hear him and believe in him and those who willfully reject his message and attack him.”

Exactly. The coming of Christ split the Jewish community into two camps: those who accepted Him and those who rejected Him. Those who accepted Him became Christians, and Christ united them with the Gentiles in the universal Church. Those who rejected Him wanted an earthly messiah who would set up an earthly utopia. Modern Jewish identity is therefore based on the explicit rejection of Christ and teleologically oriented toward secular utopianism. This group is what we now mean when we speak of “the Jewish people.” As long as they continue to reject Christ, they will continue to pursue this secular utopian messianism. This is the “Jewish Revolutionary Spirit” that E. Michael Jones refers to. We have a duty to condemn this spirit so that the Jews will accept Christ and stop provoking hostility toward themselves. How is this “inciting hatred, violence, and persecution of Jews?”

        • Mr. Jones, with all due respect, you seem a bit biased,
granted some Individual Jews have done bad things throughout human history, yet what about all the Good things Jews & Israel have done to benefit mankind ? You fail to mention that ? You seem to employ stereotypes of Jews
          Furthermore John 4:22 says
          “..Salvation is from the Jews”
Is anyone else concerned that that Mel Gibson in 2024 is releasing his Sequel to the 2004 film “The Passion of The Christ” the Sequel is going to be called
“The Passion of The Christ: Resurrection” will this sequel film be as Needlessly Anti-Jewish as the 2004 film ?

        • Dear Dr Jones:

How timely and efficacious is your reply. As it happens I am listening to a discussion that you and Dr Michael Brown had on this topic. There is a good deal to consider and I need time to reflect on the relative merits of both of you. I’ll not comment until proper consideration tis given.

To address your comment at CWR is needed and allow me if you will to bring scripture.

Where any man is mistaken or ignorant of facts, we have a duty to aid as we can! God is our best teacher.
God Rebukes the Jews because He loves them. God remembers His ancient people Israel. Israel is the true vine and we have been grafted in by His grace through the implementation of the promised New Covenant. It took the death of righteous Jesus to carry away our sins. Yes it was the King of the Jews who rescued us. The Apostles were Jews as were the first disciples, also the writers of the New Testament, not to mention the Virgin Mary and her husband Joseph.

Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

The Gospel is the good news of their long awaited Messiah. We who have been blessed with the Spirt of God, owe the Jews gentleness, respect patience and understanding.

          God bless you,

          Brian Young

        • Dr. Jones , you still didn’t reply to our legitimate comments in defense of Jews & Israel. Is it morally right to hate Jews if many Jews themselves do Not like being Jewish or looking Jewish either, and wish they were Not born Jewish. Jewish Self-Hatred is Very Common, many Jews are secular, even many half-Jewish people are Self-hating.

        • It’s very sad how Dr.Jones is being Chicken and won’t respond and engage in Civil Debate over our comments in defense of Jews & Israel. Because of the Always Rising Anti-Semitism in America and Worldwide, more and more Jews and people who are half-Jewish in America and Worldwide are going to become sick
self-hating Jews and part-Jews and wish they were Not born Jewish or part-Jewish and try to hide their Jewishness. Often that is Impossible, many half-Jewish persons look Jewish, and thus many Jews and half-Jewish persons will become very Uncomfortable with their Jewishness and dislike it .

          • Dear Benjamin:

Perhaps Dr Jones is unaware of the ongoing discussion! It did please me that he stepped into the tent and posed a question! 🙂 For all ones knows, he didn’t anticipate a reply, however I share your interest in gaining his perspective. Perhaps our desire to winkle him out of his shell will have the desired result, providing he is aware of our entreaties.

      • Mr. Olson, simply calling Jones’ views “reprehensible” won’t do. Jones is a serious writer who documents his work thoroughly. Some of the conclusions he draws are wrong, but they are not so easily dismissed. He also gets a good many things right. This third rail matter is one that must be addressed with care, but also forthrightly. Jones’ arguments and supporting evidence need to be grappled with, even if you ultimately end up rejecting parts or all of them, to fully understand the issue. Today even asking questions, stating indisputable facts and making reasonable criticisms is enough to ruin a man’s career and turn him into a social outcast. The impact on society caused by suppression of political speech on this crucial topic has been catastrophic.

      • Mr. Olsen, I didn’t think you would post my comment – thank you for the opportunity to engage in an honest discussion on this crucial topic!

“Yes, the ADL is often deeply ideological.”

What does this mean? What ideology does the ADL have specifically?

“E. Michael Jones is often reprehensible in his remarks about Jews. It’s a sort of dark sickness with him.”

Surely the ADL’s ongoing political, financial, and moral support for killing children is more of a reprehensible, dark sickness than anything Dr. Jones has said?

“To be thinking Catholics, do we really have to ask this question?”

Yes actually. Let me explain. The Council of Florence solemnly renewed the following dogmas:

“[the holy Roman Church] firmly believes, professes and teaches that the legal prescriptions of the Old Testament or the Mosaic law, which are divided into ceremonies, holy sacrifices and sacraments, because they were instituted to signify something in the future, although they were adequate for the divine cult of that age, once our Lord Jesus Christ who was signified by them had come, came to an end and the sacraments of the new Testament had their beginning. Whoever, after the passion, places his hope in the legal prescriptions and submits himself to them as necessary for salvation and as if faith in Christ without them could not save, sins mortally. It does not deny that from Christ’s passion until the promulgation of the Gospel they could have been retained, provided they were in no way believed to be necessary for salvation. But it asserts that after the promulgation of the Gospel they cannot be observed without loss of eternal salvation.” (D 712).

“It firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Catholic Church before the end of their lives; that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is of such importance that only for those who abide in it do the Church’s sacraments contribute to salvation and do fasts, almsgiving and other works of piety and practices of the Christian militia produce eternal rewards; and that nobody can be saved, no matter how much he has given away in alms and even if he has shed his blood in the name of Christ, unless he has persevered in the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (D 714).

These are the dogmas of supersessionism and No Salvation outside the Church. Are these dogmas antisemitic incitement of violence against Jews? The Jews say yes. They say the same thing about any area of faith and morals they don’t like. But are these dogmas true? Is it a sin to tell the truth? Is it a sin to preach the Gospel?

        There are two options:

        1. These are indeed revealed truths and in order for the Jews to be saved, they have to repent of being Jews, i.e. rejecting Christ and His Church, and be baptized.

        2. The Jews have authority to veto Catholic dogma they don’t like; in which case the Church is not the “pillar and ground of truth” (1 Tim 3:15).

Theological and political implications flow from the answer to this question. Option 2 is the de facto modus vivendi between the Jews and the Catholic hierarchy since Nostra Aetate was promulgated ( Obscuring this issue makes it impossible to defend the moral order as Catholics are blinded to the hidden grammar of the culture war which is Jew versus Catholic.

This article is vindication of Dr. Jones’ thesis: a pro-life activist writes an article for a pro-life website, citing a pro-abortion Jewish organization in an attempt to gaslight Catholics into thinking Jews are the “most vulnerable”. This is the same Jewish organization that pushes abortion *and* trains every FBI agent in the nation ( The same FBI that now swats pro-life activists under the orders of the Jewish AG, Merrick Garfinkel.

How can young Catholics be the ‘pro-life generation’ when they are systematically prevented from recognizing the richest and most powerful group in the country imposing their fundamental value on us?

        • Permit me to respond to your views.

Who is King of the Jews and who is it that gives us salvation through belief in Him?

AntiSemitism is a misguided attack on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What are the sins and shortcomings of you and I? Let us not be consumed with the sins of others. Let us walk in truth and compassion as an example of what the Lord Jesus has done for us. Confession is daily part of life just as is eating. God has plans for the Jews. Let us be cognizant of the fact and be a guide to Jews instead of an impediment. The following offers hope together with strong rebukes. Let us be wise.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Isaiah 40:31 But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 11:12 He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Isaiah 1:1-31 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.” Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged. Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. …

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

          God bless you.

          • If Jesus is a Jew in heaven, then was Paul wrong in writing to the Galatians here? 3:27For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.

          • St. Paul is not speaking of the eradication of physical characteristics (after all, Christ is still and always a man, as well as Jewish), but of how the new and everlasting covenant in Christ is not limited to this group, that tribe, or another segment of the population. It is open to all who accept it, repent, are baptized, and continue in grace.

        • meiron, in your comment of
March 21, 2023 where you mentioned Galatians 3:28, one Christian website
 said about that verse :
“When Paul said there is “neither” this “nor” that, he is not saying those distinctions no longer exist, but rather those divisions no longer exist. There is no division between these people in Christ. All the people who used to be divided, are now “one in Christ Jesus.” And all are equal heirs of the promises.” Many other Christian articles agree with that Interpretation of Galatians 3:28. There is No Partiality or Favoritism with God. Yet don’t confuse Favoritism with Faithfulness, the Faithfulness of God to Israel and the Jewish people. There is Both Unity and Diversity in the Body of Christ, All are Equal, but to be Equal does Not mean to be Identical, Jesus is Still a Jew in Heaven and will Always be a Jew

          • Perfectly fine. I believe that, as Jesus is God, the particular aspects of His being are important. Are they necessary to his essence? I don’t know.
Only He would know, I think.

I believe He is one consubstantial being with our Creator Father, He is our Savior, and His Spirit is our Sanctifier.

I don’t know whether you are Jewish or Christian, and it is not important except for me to try to understand your perspective. If you are Jewish, according to your or a general Jewish perspective, is it an acceptable or an offensive idea that Christians consider themselves children of the Promise made to Abraham? Are Jews and Christians similar and without distinction in that sense or in some other?

    • For goodness sakes. Please Google around for Jewish prolife leaders and organizations.
I guarantee you that there are more misguided Catholics promoting feticide than misguided Jews.

    • Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy are you, O Israel!

I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonorus you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Romans 11:26-29 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

    • Our Lord knows what is in our hearts and our intentions. And scripture is pretty clear about those who bless versus curse Israel.

  12. Why won’t Dr.E Michael Jones respond to our Arguments pointing out the flaws in his writings against the Jews , why won’t he respond here and engage in Civil Debate and Discussion
    All of the comments on
    Jewish Task Force by
Chaim Ben Pesach are worth reading, the archives on the site go back to October 2014

    • It is a disappointment not to hear back from Dr jones. The discussion between and Dr Brown and himself was telling. Jones attempts to weaponize the Gospel against the Jews. He discusses moral issues which are one matter. The essence of the argument was a spiritual one which he neglected to give justice to. Moral aspects were his target,

Morality is important and it finds its soulmate in the redemptive power of jesus Christ. Christ not only saves us he changes us. Much to say, however, perhaps Jones will step up to the plate.

      God bless you.

  13. We all Need to ask , does the
    Roman Catholic Church need a
    Third Vatican Council, a
    Vatican III ?
    Remember the Roman Catholic
Anthology TV Series “Insight” which ran from October 1960 to 1983 ? It was Produced by Paulist Productions and had Roman Catholic Priest Ellwood Kieser
It used to be on Early Sunday Mornings and some jokingly called it the Catholic version of
The Twilight Zone , did any
    Episodes of “Insight” deal with
    Anti-Semitism, the Holocaust or
    Vatican II

  14. I hate to bring this up, but what was the role of
Pope Pius XII during the Holocaust ? The debate continues to this day.
    The late Christian cartoonist
Jack Chick , and his many
    Chick Tracts blamed the
    Roman Catholic Church for the
Holocaust. Jack T.Chick offended many people during his life.
Many people have said that the
Chick Tracts by Jack Chick were inaccurate and distorted, misrepresented the Teachings of Catholicism. The various Editions of the book “The Anguish of the Jews” by the late Catholic Priest
Edward H. Flannery are a Must Read

      • Mr. Olson, the debate over
Pope Pius XII and the Holocaust is far from over, could it be that Pius XII wasn’t “Hitler’s Pope” he wasn’t exactly a Huge Rescuer of Jews during the Holocaust either, that he was something in between. Why was Hitler and other Top Nazis never Excommunicated by the Church. Plus many have accused the Roman Catholic Church of helping Nazi War Criminals Escape Europe after World War II ended

      • Mr. Olson has an article headlined
“Claims of papal help for Nazi war criminals ‘verifiably false'”
        on April 16, 2012
Do you have any opinion of the
        late Christian Cartoonist
Jack Chick , Jack T.Chick and his
famous Chick Tracts which many have described as being Anti-Catholic

        • I grew up, as a young Fundamentalist Protestant, reading Jack Chick comics and plenty of similar anti-Catholic material. Chick was somewhat clever, but he was seriously truth challenged. And prone to all sorts of conspiracy theory nonsense. He was very much in the vein of Alexander Hislop, Loraine Boettner, and Ralph Woodrow (although Woodrow, to his credit, later publicly renounced his anti-Catholic writings). And, yes, Chick’s work was certainly anti-Catholic, not so much in the sense that he disagreed with the Catholic Church/Faith, but that he attributed so many falsehoods to Catholicism and vehemently insisted that the Catholic Church was a virulent form of false, paganized Christianity.

    • Jack Chick tracts described as distorted and inaccurate is quite the understatement.
I haven’t heard about those in many years. As a Catholic I think the tracts were dreadful and sectarian but at least back then people believed in something, even if they were terribly misinformed about other faith communities. The late Ian Paisley comes to mind also.

  15. Mr. Olson, some have argued that up until 1939, Pope Pius XII and the Vatican only spoke up or defended Jewish victims of Nazi Persecution who had converted to Catholicism and Not All Jewish Victims of Nazi Persecution, how do you respond to that claim that Pope Pius XII and the Vatican at First only tried to Protect Jewish converts to
    A good website is
    Catholics for Israel & Also

    • Dear Benjamin:

For some, Jesus work on the cross was not enough! Some are never satisfied with the efforts of others. The question might be what you and I, as well as like minded individuals can do to help Jews come to know Jesus Christ? Perhaps Pius did more that what met the eye, Jesus certainly did!

Zechariah 13:8-9 In the whole land, declares the Lord, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left alive. And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people’; and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

These are very sobering verses. First for the Jews, but for others that are not in Christ. We who have found salvation in the name of Jesus need to proclaim His saving grace as the Lord see’s fit to send us. CWR can be a good starting point!

Your thoughts would be very welcome!

      God bless you,

  16. No mention so far of how Pope Pius XII was first targeted for alleged antisemitism…Such mention would include Rolf Hochhuth’s stage drama, “The Deputy” (1963), which later was discredited by Ion Mihai Pacepa, “a former Romanian spymaster [who] alleged that the play was part of a KGB campaign to discredit Pius XII” (“Moscow’s Assault on the Vatican Archived,” 5 Feb. 2007 at Wayback Machine, National Review Online, 25 Jan. 2007; and National Review, Retrieved 10 Dec. 2020). See

And then there’s the draft encyclical opposing racism and anti-Semitism, commissioned in June 1938 by Pope Pius XI, “Humani Generis Unitas” (The Unity of the Human Race), and prepared by Fr. John LaFarge, S.J. (defender of racial justice in the United States, “Interracial Justice,” 1937) and two others. And, which prior to the pope’s death in early 1939, was possibly received and reviewed, but which was never published by either Pope Pius XI or Pius XII. (Later discovered in the late 1960s).

An additional perspective is that, partly complicated by past Church history, the draft might have been either inadequate or ineffective (Georges Passelecq and Bernard Suchecky, “The Hidden Encyclical of Pius XI,” Harcourt Brace & Co., 1997; both the story and the complete text, with an introduction by Garry Wills).

    • Also, in March 1937, Pius XII (then a cardinal) wrote for Pius XI the letter “MIT BRENNENDER SORGE” which was sent to every Catholic priest in Germany. There is no hint of anti-semitism there.

One Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger (1926-2007) was born a Jew in Paris but converted to Catholicism at age 13. His father attempted to have his baptism annulled, to no effect. He later lost his mother to Auschwitz.

With his unique perspective, in one book around 1986, he attributed anti-semitism to ideas of the Enlightenment. A later book, in 2002, “The Promise” (Erdman’s Press) has a chapter which traces the prophecy concerning Jesus in the Old Testament.

Brother against brother began with Adam and Eve’s progeny. Pagan and Jewish rejection of God continued throughout Israel’s history. Lustiger points specifically to Herod’s sin of infanticide, the attempt to murder every child in the entire line of David. Lustiger posits the ‘scandal’ of Rachel who would not be consoled; IOW, she did not allow God, His Promise, to console her. Jesus would console and be consoled but instead was/is rejected and was/is denied.

Irony of irony and sorrow of sorrow. Today we stand accused, and we continue to accuse.

      • Consent to say, you did good here!

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

1 Corinthians 14:12 So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.

Romans 14:19 So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

  17. To any Roman Catholics here , how do you respond when some people say that the Catholic Church in 2023 is still
anti-semitic ? If it isn’t then why does the Catholic Church, the current Pope and Vatican so often unjustly criticize Israel and side with the so-called
“Palestinians” in the Mideast Confict, while Israel remains Morally Superior in the Conflict

    • Dear Benjamin:

Though not a Roman Catholic, perhaps I could respond!

No church is perfect. It is made up of a body of sinners saved by God’s grace. Some have clearer conviction with regards to the Jews in God’s plan of salvation.

It begins with Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah (KIng of the Jews)! Indeed, the very one who quickened our spirit, enabling us to confess Jesus Christ as Lord. This is the promised covenant of grace found in the Tanakh.

The first believers in the church were Jews as were the writers of the New Testament! If a number in the church treat the Jews with disrespect it is to their disadvantage. Let us be thankful that other men and women in the church value the Jews and know that we owe an eternal debt of gratitude to them.

The Church is the bride of Christ and a sorry lot we are! Let Christ have supremacy in all matters for He calls us brothers and laid down His life to ransom us.

Hosea 1:2 When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, “Go, take to yourself a wife of whoredom and have children of whoredom, for the land commits great whoredom by forsaking the Lord.”

Hosea 3:1 And the Lord said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.”

Deuteronomy 31:16 And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and whore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will forsake me and break my covenant that I have made with them.

We as Christians have many shortcomings. Let us be charitable as the Lord has been merciful to us.

      God bless you,

    • Dear Benjamin:

In leafing through past articles on CWR, came upon this:

“Catholics must reject social media anti-Semitism, Indiana bishop says

      Perspective and encouragement are important.

      God bless you,

  18. What about those who say that Vatican II was Not a Valid
Council, the arguments of Sedevacantism, and Sedeprivationism. ? Some claim
Vatican II taught many Errors, do a Google search for
“Errors of Vatican II” who decides what is truth and what is Error , what is heresy or Not
People have criticized the Vatican for Not Establishing Diplomatic Relations with the State of Israel until 1993 and for allowing Arch Terrorist
Yasser Arafat to visit the Vatican on Numerous Occasions
People ask can a leopard change its spots , has the Roman Catholic Church truly changed or will it backslide into it’s old Anti-Semitic ways

    • Dear Benjamin:

You are not asking the best person to comment on Vat II and some other matters within the Catholic Church. Still, we have to thank God for progress made within any denomination! Perhaps our best course is to do what we are able to bring salt and light to combat the scourge of antiSemitism.

Was delving into E Michael Jones’s work. There is some sharp criticism of his stand, yet he is intelligent and has influence with certain individuals. When we use scriptural guidance to evaluate our views, perhaps he is unaware of how the Jew should be regarded. Once again it would be informative to have his opinion and perhaps debate the merits of his perspective!

Stay well and strong in the blessings that the Lord Jesus gives to his followers.

      Your brother in Christ,

    • First, consider the source, which is pseudo-Catholic. Secondly, the essay in question is as “anti-Semitic” as Benedict XVI’s Regensburg Address is “Islamophobic”; in other words, not at all. (Don’t just take my word for it: read the actual Communio essay.) Quite the contrary. Anyone who has read much of Ratzinger/Benedict knows exactly how sensitive and nuanced he is when it comes to Catholic-Jewish relations.

Finally, the NCReporter article, if read carefully, gives away the real problem: Some Catholics (liberal Jesuits!) are upset that Benedict actually believes in the Catholic Faith:

“Benedict’s suggestion that Christians should teach Jews how to read selected parts of the Hebrew Bible in a Christological way is very problematic,” said the Rev. Christian Rutishauser, head of the Jesuit order in Switzerland and an expert on Jewish-Christian relations.

What Benedict actually does is to show how the early Christians interpreted all of the Old Testament in the light of Jesus Christ, and he presents a short history of such. He then writes:

It was therefore evident to Christians that the message of Jesus Christ, his death and Resurrection, signified the Godgiven turning point of time. And the interpretation of the sacred books in light of Jesus Christ is, as it were, an interpretation legitimated by God.

If Benedict is being charged with holding fast to Catholic belief in Christ as the Incarnate Word and Savior, then he is guilt as charged (by the way, this is why so many liberal Catholic scholars were deeply angered by the 2000 CDF’s document “Dominus Iesus”, written by Cardinal Ratzinger). If he is being accused of being anti-Semitic, the charge is not only false, it is laughable (especially since, in the essay, he readily acknowledges “anti-Semitic failures” on the part of Catholics down through time). It’s just typical Distorter fare, served up for readers who won’t bother to actually study the source material.

        • Mr. Olson, how would you and other Catholics respond to people who ask and argue that the
Pope and Roman Catholic Church during the Holocaust should have Excommunicated Hitler and Other Catholics who were persecuting and killing Jews and other Groups of People, in 2023 is it possible to posthumously Excommunicate Hitler and Other Catholics who Murdered and Persecuted Jews during the Holocaust,

  21. In our time!

Should we be peacemakers and bridge builders today? If Jesus treated us according to our sins, would we be utterly lost? Yet, we are new creations in Christ, we look ahead to His reappearing and we proclaim His mercy and demonstrate how we are being conformed into His image.

Too much dwelling on the past does not give enough time to look at the present or to the future. Still, where misdeeds have occurred, let us apologize and move forward.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

2 Peter 3:13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God bless you as you proclaim Jesus Christ to a world in need.

  22. By all means: “Still, where misdeeds have occurred, let us apologize and move forward.”
As at the beginning of our new millennium, this historic and much noted apology from St. John Paul II, especially nn. 3 and 4 (March 12, 2000).

Considering the multi-sided and convoluted nature of human misdeeds against one another, the equal responses of, say, Protestant sects of all stripes and of other religions altogether, were surely deafening.

Deafening, or only inaudible or even silent? So, what more about together and actually “moving on”?

“Who Killed Jesus? Exposing the Roots of Anti-Semitism in the Gospel Story of the Death of Jesus”

    • Crossan is a name I haven’t heard in awhile, thanks for the reminder!

Yet, Gibson should be ashamed of himself for his antiSemitic rants. May the Lord speak to his heart, that he repents.

The sins of the world were upon Jesus Christ. He bore them all on the cross, including yours and mine! Let us proclaim God’s forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and belief in Him.

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Psalm 22:6-8 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; “He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!”

Psalm 69:26 For they persecute him whom you have struck down, and they recount the pain of those you have wounded.

Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

Romans 4:25 Who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

      • Brian Young, the sad ugly truth is that Nasty Bigots like
        Mel Gibson almost Never Repent
Once a person is an Anti-semite or a Jew-Hater they almost Never Change. Doesn’t Gibson realize that many Jews and people who are half-Jewish don’t like being Jewish or looking Jewish either and are Self-hating and wish they were Not born Jewish

    • The sins of man put Christ on the cross. Our role is to proclaim God’s mercy, first to the Jew and then to the gentile.
This is the good news and we must proclaim it to those whom God puts in our paths. Indeed salvation is from the Jews and the King of the Jew’s laid down His life as a ransom for sin. The Jew is the true vine and the gentile has been grafted in by God’s promises of mercy and grace to all who believe.

Hebrews 9:15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Hebrews 8:6 But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrews 8:13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbour and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

P.S. Alas, my computer is not doing what it should and was unable to get to the link you provided! 🙁

  24. Dear Benjamin: Awhile ago i mentioned an article by Sandra Miesel. I bumped into it again and it is entitled “A Short History of the Lie of the Blood Libel”. An involving read, along with the comments. I would be interested to have your remarks!

    God bless you,

  25. Did anyone read the 2003 book
“A Moral Reckoning: The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and Its Unfulfilled Duty of Repair” is a 2003 book by the political scientist Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, previously the author of Hitler’s Willing Executioners (1996). In his 2003 book
“A Moral Reckoning” Goldhagen suggested the Catholic Church should pay Reparations to Jews and the State of Israel
Goldhagen argues that the Catholic Church directly caused the Holocaust, the sad truth is that the Catholic Church, the Protestant Churches and all the Christian Churches directly caused the Holocaust and should all pay Massive Reparations to Jews in America, Israel and Worldwide.
Countless Jews and people who are half-Jewish are self-hating, they do Not like being Jewish or looking Jewish and they try to hide their Jewishness, but that is often impossible, Many Jews in America, Israel and Worldwide have Severe Jewish Self-Hatred, an inferiority complex and psychological problems related to being racially, ethnically Jewish or half-Jewish and they are jealous of people who were born fully Gentile
Jewish Self-Hatred is Very Common, countless Jews and half-Jewish persons wish that they were Not born Jewish.

    • Instead of “self-hatred”, there should be rejoicing that God has good plans for the sons of Jacob. We are to remind those reading our words that with the rebirth of Israel, prophecy is fulfilled in our own time. This is good and is a forerunner of the Messiah coming to redeem spiritual Israel.

Moving forward is better than always looking backward. We are to confess our shortcomings and be a blessing to our fellow man. We do this in God’s vision and it should be done in the spirit of love, just as He treats us with love.

Think of what He has done for us and let us be profitable servants helping those who walk beside us.

Psalm 53:1-6 To the choirmaster: according to Mahalath. A Maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good. God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all fallen away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. Have those who work evil no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon God? There they are, in great terror, where there is no terror! For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you; you put them to shame, for God has rejected them. …

Psalm 42:1-11 To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah. As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation …

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

      God bless you.

  26. An Example of Jewish
Self-Hate from the Internet, several months ago a Secular
Jewish man on the Internet who believes in God said that when he ultimately dies and goes to Heaven, he wants to be made fully English, Irish, or Scottish and look fully Gentile, handsome like
Brad Pitt, he said that he wants to be Fully Gentile in Heaven and that while he doesn’t hate the Jewish people and is Very Pro-Israel, he still doesn’t want to be Jewish or look Jewish for
All Eternity , he said it would be horribly unjust and unfair for him or anyone to be stuck with it for All Eternity
The Secular Jewish man also said he wanted his Blood changed in Heaven, his Blood type changed as well, his DNA , Chromosomes, Genetics & Heredity Changed in Heaven so that he is 100 percent Gentile in Heaven. He is Very Uncomfortable with his
Jewishness but at least he has the Decency to Support Israel and be
The Secular Jewish man on the Internet said he doesn’t like his
Jewish looks and finds them unattractive, ugly and stereotypical Jewish. Now if he is a decent human being with a good heart who helps others , when he ultimately dies and goes to Heaven, God should grant his wish
And make him Fully English, Irish or Scottish and attractive looking, a Very Reasonable Request of God. No one deserves to be unattractive and unhappy for All Eternity if they are a decent human being in this Life, in Heaven they deserve to be Happy and get whatever they desire. He also said that growing up he felt deeply different and inferior to the other students in his Junior High and High School who were all Born Gentiles, he said he was the only Jewish student and was deeply jealous of students who were born Gentile and Christian
2,000 years of Christian Anti-Semitism produced this Jewish Self-Hatred

  27. Even though the Catholic Church in 2023 is against Anti-Semitism
Still many Catholics in America, Europe and Worldwide choose to ignore that aspect of the
Catholic Faith and still unjustly hate Jews , sadly many Europeans in 2023 greatly Love Hitler and would Joyfully murder 6 Million More Jews in a Heartbeat if they could. European Anti-Semitism is skyrocketing
AOC , Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Catholic , does this article Explain part of the Reason why she unjustly Hates Jews ? has another article about this Biblical Story headlined

    “The Squad”

    • It’s good to be back and to see your name!

Is it better to proclaim love and the forgiveness of Jesus Christ? Why dwell on the shortcomings of man when we have the Lords testimony in our hearts? Flaws are endemic to mankind, yet we are more than over-comers through Christ Jesus.

Let us forgive as we are forgiven. Let our testimony be salt and light for those perishing. Take off the old and put on the garment of Christ’s righteousness.

      Blessings and peace dear brother!

  28. Brian Young , an April 2023
    article from
    Quoted Jewish Believer in Jesus
    Olivier Melnick as saying
“Antisemitism will only be fully dealt with when Jesus returns. But we must fight it; we must be vocal against it.” But do you agree with Mr. Melnick that
    Anti-Semitism, Jew-Hatred
Hatred of Israel will NOT continue for All Eternity ,
That ultimately the Hatred Will End Completely, Not Just be Reduced

    • Until Satan and his followers are cast into the lake of fire, sin and antiSemitism will be lurking in the background. We speak of when Jesus returns and He rules with a rod or iron to subdue sin.

The thousand year reign of Jesus will end with Satan being released from the bottomless pit to create chaos for a short time. After that God will make everything right because those who are His want it to be right. Then hatred will be eliminated for eternity.

Yes, Mr Melnick has the correct interpretation.

      • Brian Young , Again I rejoice that ultimately Jew-Hatred, Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israel Hatred will someday End Completely, once and for All Forever. However what about the Countless Past Injustices and Crimes Committed Against the Jewish people throughout History in America and Worldwide where No one was Arrested or Prosecuted for their Crimes, Justice was Not Served, will there be Justice for all the Innocent Jewish Victims, the Wrongs be Righted ? I hope and pray
That All of the Vile Jew-Haters & Anti-Semites in Human History, each and every individual that Committed horrible Crimes against Jews and got away with it, when those Jew-Haters and Anti-Semites ultimately pass away they Should Face God’s Wrath to the Uttermost, God’s Divine Judgment and Wrath to the Uttermost, God should make those Haters Experience the very same exact Mental and Physical Pain that they inflicted upon the Jewish People with Interest and Make those Haters Make Reparations and Restitution to their Victims in the Next Life
I’ve read that as of 2023 , 99 percent of Killers of Jews during the Holocaust were Never Arrested or Prosecuted for their crimes, they Never Faced Justice.
It would make God look weak and Soft on Sin if God didn’t punish those who committed crimes against Jews and their property.
It would make a complete mockery of God’s Very Name, God’s Holiness, Justice Wrath & Faithfulness of God to his Jewish people if those Jew-Haters & Anti-Semites were Not Punished. Today in America you hear about Vile Bigots, Jew-Haters and Anti-Semites, spewing Hate, Lies and Incitement against Jews and Israel, they Cowardly hide behind “Free Speech” and the
1st Amendment to spew their Bile, While they would Never have the guts to Publicly or even privately insult other Groups of people like that , because hate against other Groups of people would Never Ever be Tolerated or Defended as
“Free Speech” Such Sickening Hypocrisy and Double Standards, plus the Anti-Semite, Anti-Israel Bigots are Losers and Hypocrites, very immature, childish, pathetic, they only Support “Free Speech” for themselves, Not for those they disagree with, Plus their “Free Speech” Against Jews & Israel infringes upon the Rights of others,
Of course when these Anti-Jewish, Anti-Israel Bigots ultimately pass away, even if they Never did Anything Violent or illegal, myself and others feel God should Condemn those Haters to Hell & The Lake of Fire for All Eternity, that they shouldn’t be Able to Cry
“Free Speech” when they stand before God. Jewish and anti-Jewish people have feelings also, we didn’t choose to be Jewish or part-Jewish , At times when I attend Sunday Service I feel different, inferior, jealous and envious of my fellow Christians who are Fully Gentile

        • Brian Young, the point of my above post of May 25, 2023 at
10:13 AM is that there should Never be any statute of limitations with God to punish the Evil and Wicked

  29. Brian Young, It’s good to Know that someday the Hatred of Jews and Israel will End Completely Once and For All Forever, Never to Resurface, while as
    Jesus himself said
“No one knows the day or the hour” he will Return, only God the Father Knows, other parts of the Bible urge Christians to pay attention to the Signs and Developments in the World that show the Second Coming is near
Other Christians have speculated that the Rising Anti-Semitism and Hatred of Israel in America and Worldwide is a Sign that Jesus is Returning Soon , while we cannot and never know precisely when Jesus will Return , what do we Speculate Jesus will Return,
    100, 200, 500 years from now ,
Are you Pre-Trib or Post-Trib Rapture , which view is correct ?
Also the website has an article headlined
“A Letter to the Vatican, With Suggestions”
by Judith Herschopf Banki What do you think ?

    • The bible explains end times, though it appears to be a jigsaw puzzle! I know little of eschatology as it is so involved and meandering, yet it is worth the time spent.

A good commentary of the Bible is of enormous help in piecing things together. My trust is in God and consequently I don’t need to delve into every nook and cranny to rejoice in His love and grace.

Tried to find an overview of “A Letter to the Vatican, With Suggestions”
by Judith Herschopf Banki”, yet came up dry. These days, there is little energy and less concentration to do serious reading. “Long covid”, it’s no aid to ones disposition for reading. 🙁

  30. Benjamin P. are you OCD? The Jews themselves mix and plot with Jew haters, some of them using it for drumming up sympathy even before it goes sour. It isn’t just a feature of the modern era you know, it’s all there in history. The most notorious example of course is the condemnation of Jesus Christ when the Jews (or, some of them) demanded that he be put to death. So insistent were they on getting cooperation with Pilate, they poured out their hearts in vowed allegiance to Caesar when Pilate asked, “What then am I to do with this Jesus?”; that they might spill the Blood of the Son of God the Messiah for the allaying of their furies.

    • Elias Galy , yes I suffer from
OCD , why do you ask ?
OCD is a Terrible condition, it’s no Joke , please don’t stigmatize me. I’m Not a bad or evil person for having OCD
      When you said
“The Jews themselves mix and plot with Jew haters, some of them using it for drumming up sympathy even before it goes sour. It isn’t just a feature of the modern era you know, it’s all there in history.” Some might call that a Conspiracy Theory & perhaps that is indeed true or somewhat true at times now and in the past throughout human history, but does that prove anything or make Jews worse than other Group of People
Granted , Anti-Semitism is a Very Complex Hatred

      • Dear Benjamin:

You are courageous in mentioning you suffer from OCD. Though I don’t speak from personal experience, never the less, may God be your constant helper. You bring something important to the discussion table (each according to the gifts given by God). Yes, your probes are appreciated.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

God bless you as you work to aid people,

  31. The problem with OCD is you can slip into other psychological aberration until eventually the brain structure itself is further altered physically; including ontogenic stunting, counterbalancing failure, carbon copying, BPD, schizo-affective compensating. In the moral landscapes, OCD can make a habit of lying (for example), get worse. OCD doesn’t add any credence to your thrust nor under-gird it in any way. And further your blanket denial of the facts of Jews cooperating with Jew haters and obliging sympathy for it, is not excused for your being OCD. What you should say is, “It may not be your business if I am OCD but you’re right in that I deny Christ and assert Judaism aggressively – for which I am prepared to lie claiming historical fact is only conspiracy theory and for which I use an alleged condition of OCD to demand understanding.”

    • Elias:

Here is a brother in Christ that is suffering. Does a drive by censure really speak to his woes?

Galatians 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Hosea 11:8-9 How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender. I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath.

Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!

1 John 4:9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

      • So far Benjamin P denies Christ. Benjamin P alleges he is being stigmatized for OCD when he lies about history and and confects things into hatred of Jews to swing his arguments and promote the psychosis of self-hate. He can’t take correction and you Brian Young step in him to coddle it. Nothing brotherly there and your drive by Scripture dumping, breaches the warning Christ gave you about abusing Scripture.

You make his OCD and the lying worse Brian Young.

        • Elias Galy, with all due respect, you are incorrect, I do Not deny Christ, I myself am Racially Half-Jewish, my Mother was Italian Catholic, my Father is Jewish. I am an Evangelical Protestant Christian, twice Baptized and I attended two Gentile Protestant Christian Churches almost every Sunday. I Love the Lord Jesus, and hope Jesus Returns to End All Suffering Forever. While I am only half-Jewish , some people have said that I “look Jewish” and have stereotypical Jewish looks and that I “sound Jewish”
This makes me Very Uncomfortable and Afraid of
Anti-Semitism , I am well aware of the Tragic History of
Christian Anti-Semitism, 2,000 years of Persecution that directly led to the Holocaust
Yes, I realize that Jesus was
Jewish and that Jesus is Still Jewish in Heaven, I am well aware of that , still I honestly don’t like being Half-Jewish or having unattractive stereotypical Jewish looks. I deny being Jewish to most people, because of fear of Anti-Semitism
Now I don’t hate the Jewish people, and am Not an Anti-Semite, and am actually Very
Pro-Israel, but I admit that I am somewhat self-hating and wish I was born Fully Non-Jewish
The Fact is that many Jews and people who are half-Jewish don’t like being Jewish or looking Jewish either,

          • Dear Benjamin:

Thank you for your insightful message.

You have accepted the long awaited Jewish Messiah and what great cause for celebration?

P.S. It occurs there are three evangelical protestants that post on CWR. We are as welcome as a pork chop at a Bar Mitzvah, too often! We need to be on our best behaviour, which can be a challenge for yours truly!

        • Dear Elias:

CWR discourages “personal attacks” yet, what are your comments above? If one confesses Christ, should we not be on a higher plane? People should note that we are changed. Yes, we struggle, however, we are called to a more godly approach to our own lives and to be salt and light to others.

Yes, I have many failings, we all need to try and do better! Our common enemy is Satan. You are not my enemy, however the evil one tries to pit us against ourselves instead of fighting against evil. I know I am not as kind as i should be and I confess it. Let us help one another!

          Yours in Christ,

          • It’s an elucidation.

You say it is a “personal attack”. You want to use CWR as an authority against “personal attack” but not Scripture?

          • Must we personalize every point of what could be a rational discussion about facts and ideas? I recall overhearing during a class break at a major university, one dewy-eyed student announcing to another what he had just absorbed in class: “If we question another person’s ideas, we are attacking that person!”

Some guy named John Paul II spoke of such intellectual flabbiness when he clarified that vigorous debate is part of a deeper friendship and solidarity, not a violation that turns us into enemies. Who said anything about enemies?

  32. Elias Galy , do you have a response to my comment of
MAY 22, 2023 AT 5:28 AM where I stated that
“I do Not deny Christ” and went on to elaborate

    • You deny the content of my post about Christ and history and the behaviour of (some) Jews throughout the ages. There is enough in there to deny Christ notwithstanding your (lately) saying “I do not deny Christ” resolving nothing.

I showed how some anti-Semitism claims fall down and you won’t admit it. You then joined in, that you do indeed suffer from OCD which changes nothing.

Brian Young now says it amounts to a “personal attack”. So we have gone from Benjamin P /anti-Semitism to Brian Young /personal attack. With Christ denied.

These behaviours are not unknown and they are not peculiar only to OCD.

      • Proverbs 18:2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 10:14 The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near.

    • Dear Benjamin:

This docket continues on! Some time ago wondered if it would reach 100 responses! Here we are moving past 150!

JPII was a special man, not perfect of course, yet he gave the Catholic Church renewed dignity and people wanted to be a part of the Church. The Catholic Church is too important not to support. We don’t need to be in complete agreement on all points, however, more support for the Anglican Church would have been welcome from the Catholics.

All the same, this may foment another firestorm though I hope not!

  33. Everyone, the website has a
    Catholic Article headlined
“The Church of the Weeping Angels, Part 1”
    About Christian Anti-semitism,
    E. Michael Jones is referred to as a “Notorious Anti-Semite” in this Article , if Dr. Jones is still reading these comments would he like to offer a rebuttal ?
How would we describe the difference between an
    Anti-Semite and a Jew-Hater , or are they basically the same ?

  34. Benjamin P some of the problems you describe about yourself could easily put off the ordinary joe from wanting to be engaged with you; because he is overly cautious, or he is too scrupulous, or thinks himself unqualified to handle your slate, or, even, he just doesn’t have the courage or he would find the engagement too strenuous and unfulfilling. None of his responses among those, to you, would be anti-Semitism and any of those responses from him would be quite understandable.

If he read this discussion and could recognize how sharply and driven the particular topic gets channeled, it could convince him that his reaction is well-founded; and his conclusion would not be anti-Semitism.

  35. Brian Young you are proving again that you are unable and unwilling to address problems in their array and extents and expressions; and that you are capable of using people to your purposes and instrumentalizing their weaknesses. When you do this to a Jew it would not necessarily be anti-Semitism; it could simply be your bad habit with everyone across the board.
