  1. Re. “Monkeypox Czar “, I think we may be living in a C.S. Lewis novel also.
I noticed how sad that poor man’s eyes were. He’s someone’s child & needs our prayers.

  2. @Monkeypox Czar. Appalled, many of us disheartened by these beyond the pale appointments, Rod Dreher perceived the Satanic in the cabal of appointees by Pres Joe Biden [How long O Lord! will you forget us forever? Ps 13,1] the latest a highly credentialed Sadomasochist homosexual and proud Satanist who poses with his equally deranged husband [moral derangement that is].
Nancy Pelosi like Biden claims Catholicism, reinvents Catholic doctrine publicly announcing that anti abortion legislation is “sinful”, praised drag queens performing for her entertainment as ‘wonderfully creative’, like Biden received warmly by His Holiness, both the Holy Eucharist at the Vatican.
Personally, appalled at what’s happened with our Nation more appalled at what’s happening within our Church. How might this occur if not that the Evil One himself has gained entry into their hearts, beguiling them that good is evil, evil is good? Monkeypox Czar [better called Tsarina] Daskalakis [parents Greek Orthodox] has abandoned faith in the good of God, the witness of Christ likely openly because of his embrace of satanism. Although not belief. He wouldn’t be a satanist unless he believed there is a God. Nonetheless, it can’t be said he’s ascended to a higher level of evil than nominal Catholics Biden and Pelosi. Who are responsible for the increased murderous slaughter of infants claiming that as a sacred good [Pelosi’s sacred ground later term abortion] and the advancement into the bottomless black pit of morally demented perverts.
Abandon Christ, your god becomes what suits your predilections, for Pelosi and Biden power, self aggrandizement, eminence. The very virtues of fallen Lucifer. For our Monkeypox czar worship of Lucifer. For our Roman Pontiff?
Francis, as repeatedly cited has appointed cardinal Pierre Hollerich SJ as Synodal relator setting the agenda for the consideration of accepting homosexuality, ordination of women, softening doctrine on contraception and abortion, cardinal Mario Grech appointed General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops spokesman for the Synod on Synodality, known for his circumstantial ethics drawn from Amoris Laetitia. Should we consider a Moral Leprosy Czar?

  3. In “Got Philosophy”, Robert Mixa concludes with an allusion to the first ecumenical council (the Council of Nicaea): “How can one explain the difference between homoousia and homoiousia without an understanding of ousia, a philosophical concept?”

Other than modernity erasing philosophical thinking from the modern mind (Mixa’s message), now the parallel danger within the Church is that of replacing doctrinal ecumenical councils with an essentially consensual synodality. Any bets that when 2025 rolls around (the 1800th anniversary of Nicaea), we will be disinformed by clericalists with the paradigm shift that, rather than a faithful recollection of what the Church had believed from the beginning, even Nicaea was really more of a culture-bound consensus within the present moment?

Not the validity of reasoned and conceptual thought within the indwelling Holy Spirit, but instead a parochial Greek language-pattern within the equally temporal Roman Empire. Not steadfastness in the Deposit of Faith, but more of an inconclusive consensus within fluid synodality as an “endless journey”—just as the Vademecum (synodal handbook) cast the Successors of the Apostles “primarily as facilitators.”

Let’s appeal to the twitching novelties of Germania—Kasper, Marx, Batzing & Co.—and like-minded (?) relator general Hollerich for a clarification! What, exactly, is a Synod on Synodality?

  4. @Got Philosophy? “Even in most Catholic schools, Aristotle has been replaced by Francis Bacon [whose end of reasoning is power, control] as the grandfather of modern education” (Robert Mixa Word on Fire).
Again appalled, this time back when I studied for my philosophy doctorate at the Angelicum in Rome and resided at the Casa Santa Maria NorthAm College dorm for priests’ graduate studies. Virtually all, qualified in their areas of expertise generally canon law, scripture, theology, had little philosophy credentials and even less appreciation of philosophy, the word philosophy a kind of expletive dismissed out of hand. And during discussion it was evident they were susceptible to error because of that lack of rational acumen, men who believed their intellect was the determinant of the good, and of justice, of truth itself, rather than truth being the rule, human reasoning the measure. Which is why we have Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Cardinal Hollerich SJ, papal ghostwriter ‘Tucho Fernandez’, Jorge Bergoglio now Pope Francis, and Amoris Laetitia.
As Mixa argues we cannot arrive at a workable methodology for acquiring truth sans the philosophic first principles of Aristotelian Thomistic philosophy. And it was apparent in discussion with my Casa Santa Maria confreres. This explains a major cause for the theological drift that has occurred among both Catholic theologians and educators in general. We simply don’t have many Josef Maria Seifert’s [Austrian author What is Life? The Originality, Irreducibility, and Value of Life] out there. Josef Pieper, most eminent has left this world. And with this German shining intellectual star Right Reason itself. The result is the Synodalweg.

    • Little noted nor long remembered is Pope Paul VI’s “Mysterium Ecclesdiae (1973), where we find such as this:

“the faithful therefore must SHUN [caps added] the opinion, first, that dogmatic formulas (or some category of them) cannot signify truth in a determinate way, but can only offer changeable approximations to it, which to a certain extent distort or alter it; secondly, that these formulas signify the truth only in an indeterminate way, this truth being like a goal that is constantly being sought by means of such approximations” [think the tribe, and particularly even Cardinal Grech who now would “stretch the grey area”].

      • About Cardinal Grech. “For Pope Francis the sensus fidei best characterizes this people that makes them infallible in credendo. This traditional aspect of doctrine throughout the history of the Church professes that ‘the entire body of the faithful cannot err in matters of belief’ by virtue of the light that comes from the Holy Spirit given in baptism. The Second Vatican Council teaches that the People of God participate in the prophetic office of Christ” (Grech quoted by Andrea Tornielli Creating Space for People of God in Vatican News). Signore Grech seems to forget the ‘entire body of the faithful’ includes all the bishops [now Synodal facilitators for the people] and the Magisterium [His Holiness now a listener of the people] inclusive of the perennial Magisterium. Does this mean soon to be installed in the Vatican unisex toilets, transvestite toilets [mustn’t discriminate], pan sexual/all gender toilets? Forbidden, as exclusive and discriminatory separate male toilets and female toilets?

        • And if those facilities came to pass, and if I was touring the Vatican with my granddaughters, and if circumstances had me standing guard at the ladies room falsely labled unisex, and if a man dressed like a woman tried to enter, and I stopped him against his resistence to the point of an altercation, which I would, and I got arrested by a Swiss Guard, I pray that the incident would garner enough publicity so that conservative Catholic America would pray for me and send me a good Canon Lawyer to fight the good fight.
(All of this assumes another family member would look after my granddaughters.)

          • And if such were to come to pass I would hope the Swiss Guard would revolt, [we are not obliged to adhere to moral abomination] defend, stand guard for you and your children.
