  1. @ The Islamist-Marxist Takeover Of Middle America
Yusuf al-Qaradawi, influential Egyptian Islamic theologian and the spiritual leader of the transnational Muslim Brotherhood movement, had predicted that Islam will invade the liberal West by migration and overcome Christianity with intolerant Islam.
It was the Muslim Brotherhood that assassinated Anwar Sadat who politically reconciled Egypt and Israel. Although, the current Islamic growth in our Midwest, as well as the East with Mamdani gaining national influence will likely succeed with minimal violence.
Government appears to be failing in preventing Islamic ascendency. Probably the Catholic Church [and some Protestants, Jewish leaders] but with greater firmness, will be a deterrent. Although, it depends on the convictions of our hierarchy, Pope Leo XIV.

    • After one interreligious dialogue: “By means of your democracy we will invade you, by means of our religion we shall dominate you” (recalled by His Eminence monsignor Guiseppe Bernardini, archbishop of the Turkish Diocese of Smyrna, in Oriana Fallaci, “The Rage and the Pride,” Rizzoli, 2001, p. 98).

  2. @ the new meocarthyism
In this collage of commentaries about Democratic Socialism, reference is made to a “new and dangerous McCarthyism.”

From the dense and richly documented case file on (so-called?) McCarthyism, a prominent and sympathetic analyst includes (for example) the following on an exchange with one General Snow, in front of Senator McCarran, the chair of the Senate Subcommittee on internal Security (the “McCarran Committee”):

“…McCarthy reminded Snow, that 54 disloyal cases [in the State Department] were allowed to resign under investigation and that thee other individuals had been found to be disloyal or are in the process of appeal. That, by a strange coincidence makes 57, does it not? Could it be, McCarthy wondered out loud, that these 57 tally with the 57 [!] on the original McCarthy list? No, answered General Snow, they ‘were not the same individuals’—which might have been well enough had he not, a few seconds later, confessed that he did not know the ‘names’ of the 54 who had resigned!” (Willian F. Buckley and L. Brent Bozell, “McCarthy and his Enemies: The Record and its Meaning, Henry Regnery Co., 1954, p. 226).

Buckley and Bozell make the case that the freshman Senator McCarthy made a minor but politically fatal mistake in rhetorically exposing serious “security risks” as “members of the Communist Party and members of a spy ring.” Even today, after most of a century, the payback still is to be branded with McCarthyism, as above by the mouthpieces of Democratic Socialism.

      • mrscracker: anti-McCarthyism became a quasi religion among those secular atheists in govetnment, the media, Hollywood and academia. If they wanted to whip up support all they needed to do is accuse their political enemies of “McCarthyism” (the equivalent of calling someone a racist today)

  3. An article that I read this last week is about Mark Houck received a 7 figure compensation from the Federal Gov. for the unjustified FBI raid on his house and family for his Catholics Beliefs and pro life activism. It seems that the anti Catholic Biden Admin. wanted to teach him and other such Catholics a lesson. Fortunately DJT pardoned him and other Catholics jailed by the Biden Admin.
Biden Admin. looked the other way while Muslims committed crimes, the Biden’s only wanted to get serious Catholics and keep them in their place by jailing Catholics like Mark Houck in jail. This should not be forgotten, it can happen again.

  4. @badcattitude
I stopped reading once you quoted Ayan Rand. FYI that is a tell of sophomoric and callow opinions to follow.
Besides that your post is a particular paranoid projection of a fascist cultist. I wish you luck in the “coming revolution”.

  5. Odd-ities (Charlotte Was Both): “Let’s take a day or two to think about The Odyssey.”

“Nolan’s Odyssey” would be the name that Pen-named Charlotte would give the new movie. I have yet to see the film but have read and studied the original two times with many a snippet re-read. I’ve had a few courses in Classical Greek lit and history. I’m no expert; neither am I ignorant.

Prof. Grondelski here at CWR a few weeks ago discussed Polish playwright Brandstaetter who wrote a play on The Odyssey. Professor did not compare Nolan’s version to Brandstaetter, but he did compare Brandstaetter to Homer, finding many differences, including and perhaps especially the ending.

Of course Nolan’s version is Nolan’s. He is free to assume artistic license. If Nolan’s version, Brandstaetter’s version, or Charlotte’s and Grondelski’s analyses lead people to the original, let that be the critics’ accolade. No copy will compare to the original. What surprises is that some would hope that to happen.
