Several weeks after Islamist terrorists hijacked four planes, wreaking havoc in lower Manhattan and at the Pentagon in the name of deranged religious convictions, I was at dinner in the papal apartment with John Paul II and three of his closest associates.
The mood was somber, which was unusual at that table. The pope’s hope for a “new springtime of the human spirit” in the wake of the bloody twentieth century, which he had proclaimed at the United Nations in 1995, seemed to have been thwarted. And a country he had come to love and appreciate, the United States, had been deeply wounded. So an hour’s conversation revolved around what this all meant—a question John Paul put to me directly.
Here is what I replied, as recounted in Lessons in Hope: My Unexpected Life with St. John Paul II:
I said I thought it was a turning-point in world history; an example of the mystery of evil at work through the corruption of an already defective monotheism; a possible moment of moral sobering-up in the U.S.; and a very complex mess from a strategic and international-political point of view. All of this, I continued, was a moral challenge as well as a political challenge: and while the first duty of a responsible government was the security of its citizens, President Bush’s September 20 speech indicated that American military action against al-Qaeda and its Taliban facilitators would be conducted according to just-war principles and not as a matter of vendetta or revenge. It was essential for everyone to understand that what was at stake here was not simply the security of the United States but the very possibility of any world “order.” I also pointed out that Osama bin Laden was a very rich man and that it didn’t help clarify what we were all facing when it was said that terrorism was the product of poverty — the line being taken at the U.N. by Archbishop Renato Martino, the Holy See’s permanent representative.
How does that analysis stand up, twenty-five years later?
My first suggestion seems to have been borne out: 9/11 ushered in a new world disorder. What I did not foresee was that the new disorder would be made even more disorderly by inept American policy and the seeming retreat from global responsibility demanded by a vocal segment of the American people. And the latter — the new isolationism, exacerbated by social media and internet craziness — is going to make a serious address to the former — the decline of strategic and moral reasoning in American policy-making circles — even more difficult.
As for wrestling with the fact that jihadism, a form of Islam detached from reason and determined to impose a coercive Islamist regime on the world, was the primary cause of 9/11? Well, that process of reflection never really got started, despite the efforts of Pope Benedict XVI at Regensburg in 2006 to suggest a serious agenda for interreligious dialogue on the question of Islam’s relationship to “the rest.”
The low-comedy result of that failure was evident recently in the Canadian Broadcasting Company’s diktat (later rescinded after comprehensive ridicule) that its staff must not refer to 9/11 as “terrorist attacks” (to which the indispensable Babylon Bee responded with a D-Day photo of soldiers from the U.S. Army’s Fourth Division charging onto Utah Beach with the fake CBC headline, “American Teens Visit France”).
The far more serious expression of this failure is the continued refusal of most Western foreign ministries, including the U.S. Department of State, to acknowledge that religious conviction remains a potent force in world affairs, both for ill and for good. One might have thought that 9/11 would have falsified, or at least tempered, secularist biases in the analysis of world politics. That has not happened.
As for the United States getting sobered up by 9/11, that, too, seems to have been a false hope. The tremendous national solidarity expressed on the awful day itself and in the weeks immediately following is virtually impossible to imagine today, as our public life has descended into a miasma of conspiracy theorizing, including a virulent antisemitism that, like all such eruptions of Jew-hatred and Jew-baiting, is always a sign of cultural decay.
Yet I cannot think about 9/11, twenty-five years later, without remembering something else: the passengers on United 93, who took counsel with each other and decided to risk dying as free men and women rather than certainly dying as jihadist cannon fodder — and in doing so, prevented the destruction of the U.S. Capitol. Their example ought to inspire us to do better as a civil society and a political community than we are doing at present.

We read: “My first suggestion seems to have been borne out: 9/11 ushered in a new world disorder.”
Maybe not so new? Aside from the deceptive periodization of human history (C.S. Lewis’s “chronological snobbery”), what is the significant difference, if any, between the 12th-century Islamic closure of the pilgrimage routes to Jerusalem and the 21st-century jihadist closure of the tanker routes through Hormuz?
Two comments and a quote:
FIRST, so yes, religion matters. And especially the absolute difference between Triune Christianity as revelatory of both the interior and relational nature of God and (therefore) the gifted “transcendent dignity of the human person”—The core element of perennial Catholic Social Thought, VERSUS the totally inscrutable, non-relational and dictated content of the “uncreated” Qur’an–which is the straight-jacket of Sharia Law.
That is, what’s left of the now post-Christian institutions in “the West” cannot be understood apart from the singular and “alarming” (Benedict’s term) “event” of the Self-disclosing Incarnation into and within universal human history.
SECOND, our moment in “history” is a good time to notice the contribution of pre-secularistic St. Augustine (living at the “new world disorder” sacking of Rome in A.D. 410) who, in his timeless Confessions: “entered into my inmost being” to discover the “unchangeable light” which was “above my mind, because it made me, and I was beneath it, because I was made by it. He who knows the truth, knows that light, and he who knows it knows eternity. Love knows it, O eternal truth, and true love, and beloved eternity! You are my God…” (Bk 7, ch. 10:26).
QUOTE: More foundational than an amnesiac and secular-ist vantage point amputated from the mystery of creation and Creator, the theologian von Balthasar restores what is deeper than any merely constructed “new world order” or now “new world disorder”:
“The responses of the Old Testament and a fortiori of Islam (which remains essentially in the enclosure of the religion of Israel) are incapable of giving a satisfactory answer to the question of ‘why’ [!] Yahweh, why Allah, created a world of which he did not have need in order to be God. Only the fact is affirmed in the two religions, not the ‘why’. The Christian response is contained in these two fundamental dogmas: that of the Trinity and that of the Incarnation” (My Work in Retrospect, Ignatius 1993).
Ultimately, much political discord is theological in origin.
Your clear-eyed analysis never fails, Mr. Weigel. Thank you.
At some point, in our grandchildren’s future, this article and others will be unread and new ones will remain unwritten. Because at this future moment, it will be forbidden to question the great jihad against the evil that was the United States. Why? Because we will have a Islamic majority in the US and in the balance of the Christian world. Islam will have become the only religion. The mass immigration to Europe and the separatist culture that’s been allowed to flourish, coupled with the dynamic birthrate of the new immigrants will swing the balance of power from Christian to Islam. Here in the US we didn’t see the same wave of refugees, but we are experiencing the population shift in key node cities such as Detroit, NYC and Minneapolis MN. We are seeing the media fawning over and attacking any criticism with slanderous terms like Islamophobia. And we seem to have forgotten it was President Carter’s use of Bin Laden as an American political pawn in his game against Russia that lit the fuse of 911. Men without honor and pride have no conception of the determination of men to whom that matters above all. I’m not saying Islamic responses to Western politics are honorable, to me, to many of us they’re not. I’m saying that to them it is and the Koran has passages to prove it to them.
Within a few generations immigrants will typically adopt the birthrate of the society they relocate to. But when that society’s fertility rate is 1.5 or less, a replacement level birthrate amongst immigrants is going to have a larger effect.
Radical Islam is a serious threat to the west. The sooner we realize this, the better. Denial does not work.
So is lax Christianity and pseudo-Christianity.
Fifty years ago, if you saw a woman in public wearing a veil, it was almost certainly a nun wearing her habit. Today, a woman wearing a veil is almost certainly not a nun.
In another fifty years….
The last woman that I saw wearing a veil was a Muslim woman. You don’t see many nuns anymore.
The nuns, few, are there. They, however, dress in non regligious grab. Should you see a nun you do not know it. They dress in ‘civilian’ clothes. It is almost as though they are not proud of the religious life. There is an attitude they want the perks of a religious order, while being ashame of being religious.
“The last woman that I saw wearing a veil was a Muslim woman. You don’t see many nuns anymore.”
Did you not understand that was the very condition I commented upon?
Bitter Bean Counter: you gotta lob insults. You can’t help it. Why all the anger?
9/11 was our own government behind it all with the help of others who want to fashion this country in the way they want. GWB was in Skull & Bones ( secret society with rituals and ties to Freemasonry. We’re still in that process, and more so, now. Don’t put your trust in man, only in God and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
I’d go on…but I digress…
Deus adiuva nos! God help us!
The operative word is “jihadist”
I agree with symptoms identified, but not the ecessarily the diagnosis, which falls short.
The problem = the ideology of Islam, itself. Islam, voiced by its Koran and its obedient adherents, is dedicated to the supremacy of Islam, by any and every means necessary, including and ultimately culminating in terrorism and war to the death.
In this it manifests the same pathologically violent posture against Western civilization as Nazi ideology, Bushido ideology and Communist ideology. And its politically expedient allies are woke left political parties of the West, with their own hatred of Western civilization, hence phenomena such as “Queers for Palestine.”
Here is a distinguishing contrast that points to the problem of the ideology of Islam:
A. When westerners commit atrocities (e.g., the My Lai Massacre), candid citizens recognize that such westerners are violating the law of Jesus in the New Testament.
B . When Islamic men or women commit atrocities (e.g., 9/11 or 10/7), candid citizens recognize that such Islamic people doing the atrocities are obeying the Koran.
Pope Benedict XVI warned the West in his Regensburg Lecture, in 2006, here: https://www.cbcew.org.uk/full-text-of-the-pope-benedict-xvis-regensburg-lecture/
Ayaan Hirsi-Ali warns the West, today, here: https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/mohamed-atta-25-years-911
When someone says: “Death-to-America,” or “Death-to-Israel,” or “From-the-River-to-the-Sea,” they are expressing the fundamental reason for their own existence, which is “killing the other.”
Dear Chris,
Few observations about the resurgence of Islam make as much sense as yours. The day after 9/11 I read the Koran a second time (in English, so I suppose a Muslim would tell me I haven’t read it at all), when it was becoming clear that the perpetrators were Muslims, in order to find what would move them to such violence. I found plenty, of course. People who don’t want to hear that Islam is an inherently violent and all-conquering ideology must be choosing to be blind and deaf, probably because the West has become ABC (anything but Christian). They coin various phrases to distract us from this truth. Jihadists are not extreme. They are the Muslim ideal. And the Koran says that believers who do not go on jihad must support those who do. There are no innocent Muslims. Have you read Sword and Scimitar by Raymond Ibrahim? The first chapter explains Muslim motivation very well.
In the late 1980s I visited the White Fathers’ headquarters in Dar es Salaam. After dinner, a White Father, very upset, approached me. He explained that he was a member of the Muslim-Catholic Dialogue in TZ. Pope John Paul II had just ordered the Catholic members not to criticize Muslim teaching at their meetings! The WF was furious. He told me that all the Muslim members did was to attack Christianity and try to convert the Christian members. The WF said that the Pope was tying both hands of the Catholic members behind their backs. I can understand that the Pope may have been trying to protect Christian minorities in Muslim countries. But TZ is only 1/3 Muslim. And Muslims see politeness as a sign of weakness.
I was in Kenya when the Iron Curtain fell. My African friends told me that we Americans had thought for decades that the communists were are worst enemies but that they were not! The Muslims, whom East Africans know at first hand, were! But it took me another 20 years, after 9/11, to accept this truth. Communists and ‘democratic socialists’, from the Muslim point of view, are just useful idiots.
When will our bishops wise up to all this?
Thank you Mr. Pepka.
As to people choosing to avoid recognizing the violence of Islam, Solzhenitsyn once gave an address to the people of the U.K. (on a different topic) at the invitation of the BBC, and the title he gave it is: “If One Doesn’t Wish to be Blind.”
Yes, Chris, the problem with Islam is Islam itself, but many people in the West continue to pretend that there is such a thing as ‘radical Islam’ and ‘moderate Islam’ so they can whitewash the atrocities that are part and parcel of the doctrines and practices of Islam. Such apologists for Islam also frequently trot out how they know this nice Muslim or that nice Muslim, and so on, and they obtusely maintain that the existence of these people who do not follow all of the commands or teachings of Islam are somehow proof that Islam really is a religion of peace despite what has been clearly taught and practiced by the recognized leaders and most dedicated of Muslims (Sunni, Shia, and all other sub-groups within Islam that all teach and practice the same fundamental Islam) throughout the centuries.
There is also no such thing as ‘Islamism’ (or ‘Islamist’ in this context). Robert Spencer, the well-known scholar of Islam, just a few hours ago made this clear in response to Robert Kennedy Jr.’s denouncing of what Kennedy referred to as the “ideology of toxic Islamism.” Spencer insightfully writes on his website “Jihad Watch”:
“This is good to see. It’s much better than seeing George W. Bush reiterate that Islam is peace. But it still constitutes a refusal or inability to face the unpleasant truth. The desire to separate ‘Islamism’ from ‘Islam’ stems from nothing within Islam itself, but from the impulse of non-Muslim Westerners to regard Islam as a benign entity having to do purely with spiritual matters, and to exonerate Islam from the crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings by consigning those to the realm of ‘Islamism,’ which is understood to be a certain adulteration or bastardization of the genuine, benign Islam. This is just wishful thinking on a grand scale.” (See Robert Spencer: “RFK Jr. denounces ‘the toxic ideology of Islamism’” in Jihad Watch, Sep 11, 2026 3:00 pm, https://jihadwatch.org/2026/09/rfk-jr-denounces-the-toxic-ideology-of-islamism).
A note of caution however. The slogan “From the River to the Sea” also has some historical origins and usage as part of Zionism, and it is used from that false perspective to promote an unjustified expansion of Israel into what is known as a Greater Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. None other than Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu has often expressed support for this expansion of Israel, and it most definitely plays a role in the current conflict involving Israel’s extremely aggressive actions in Gaza and surrounding areas that have gone way beyond legitimate retaliation and defense in response to the Hamas atrocities of October 7, 2023.
First, as a Canadian, I was maximally embarrassed by the (tax-supported) CBC’s stupidity. I missed Babylon Bee’s take. Will rectify anon.
I agree with Chris in Maryland above (9:37 a.m.). It is Islam, full stop.
See Fran Maier in The Catholic Thing today, Sept. 9.
The CBC is not stupid. It takes the government cheese for services rendered.
Not just the CBC. Listen to the long list of broadcasts in the US and the lies, mistakes? that are pronounced as facts is ‘well but so and so said. They reference each other. The looping of the same error of non-facts.
Reporters used to be they reported the facts of an event. Now they report what their personal preference is. Fairy tales are not news.
Sadly they are believed because it makes them ‘feel good’. The 1960’s do whatever to make yorself feel good. Did not matter if it was sex, drugs, lies; whatever it took to deny human beings have unhappy times. Some how always feeling happy was the only accpetable way to live. Being unhappy somehow indicated there was something wrong with you.
Do they have that kind of commodity cheese in Canada?
Feel bad for these 9/11 families on this video trying to seek justice and transparency from the U.S. govt./ fbi and instead have to hear people like George Wiegel and other commentators referring to them as “conspiracy theorizing.”
https://youtube.com/watch?v=TkCXiVyrd_Y&is=7KMRpW-T-7LIXENG
I’m sorry Mr Weigel but as you can see by the comments here and other places no one has failed to learn to hate Islam in the last 25 years. And those who have refused to submit to the lesson plan suffer daily at the hands of the likes of , Netanyahu, Hegseth and Miller.
Suzanne Miller: Making America great again!!!!!
Oh, so now you’re defending and excusing a radical, militant religious faith that murdered 3,000 American citizens for no justifiable reason? Good to know. Thanks for showing us the darkness of your heart.
males will be wearing veils?……….
Timothy Mcveigh blew up children at a daycare center out of a radical “Christian “ motivation. Do we impune all Christians forever?
Suzanne Lee: Making America
great again !!!!!!
There is tremendous value in actually studying the history of Islam, and the life of Muhammad. It is a misnomer to use any term that relates to “radical” Islamist. There is no such thing. The objective of Islam is to teach each follower that Jihad is the calling of all until all the world is conquered. It is not an aberration in religion such as the actions of Mr. McVey or anyone else similar. A faithful Muslim will both accept and support the killing of all non-Muslims – full stop.
There is zero evidence to suggest any of the hijackers were “faithful Muslims. They drank and smoked at strip clubs the night before the deed. There is tremendous value in having actually lived through the events in question.
From Wikipedia, hardly a right-wing source: “The aircraft hijackers in the September 11 attacks were 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda, a jihadist organization based in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.”
Yes, some of them may have been to strip clubs, etc., in the weeks prior to the attacks.
Then again, I know of a “devout Catholic”, who carries and displays a rosary, who has publicly supported contraceptives and abortion for decades, performed a “gay marriage,” and openly thumbed his nose at Catholic teaching. But since he was named Joe Biden, it doesn’t matter, does it?
The hijackers had Saudi passports. They received payments from the royal family friends with Bush and now Trump. Religion never matters as much as money.
Yeah, because people will gladly die for money but not for religious beliefs.
Right.
“Religion never matters as much as money.”
You’re showing your ignorance. Keep at it.
Murdering children is not a tenet of Christianity or approved of in any way. Timothy McVeigh was a nut job, period.
On the other hand, Islam makes a policy of intolerance and forcing others to believe as they do. Those who are not willing , are killed. If you cant discern the difference, you have my pity. I think Trump has recently been much too tolerant to the enemy and I would welcome an approach more like that demonstrated by General William Tecumsah Sherman during the civil war.
Really? So Trump and Hegseth bombing a girls’ school killing them all was not a tenet of their “Christianity”? Good to know. You would not know that to hear them speak.
Well, accidents happen in war. And collateral damage happens as well. Recall we are fighting an enemy which has been proven to use schools , hospitals and houses of worship as places to hide munitions, under the pretty accurate theory we would never attack those places. Personally, I would never sacrifice my own soldiers and allow a munition dump to remain active because its otherwise a school or other facility. That being said, I do not believe we hit that school on purpose.. Our aim is only as good as the intelligence we receive. Suffice it to say I can’t imagine Americans conducting the atrocities which happened and WERE FILMED) on October 7th. Barbarianism doesnt begin to cover it.
LOL accidents happen? Killing children is not an accident.
Your knowledge of the military must be very limited. Have you ever heard of “friendly fire”?? A lot of soldiers have been killed that way. Those deaths are accidents, get it? Of COURSE accidents happen in war. But the attacks on Jewish kids at a music concert on October 7th and the murders and rapes that took place and were filmed and POSTED then by the Palestinians themselves were not an accident. Three planes didnt smack into the Towers and the Pentagon by accident, all in unprovoked attacks. It was carefully planned. And from Iran, missiles continue to fly into civilian commercial ships, the vacation hotels of Arab neighbors and civilian apartments in Tel Aviv. There is no possible way to claim ANY of those incidents were “accidents”. But you dont appear to have any concern for THOSE victims, or their families. The Americans and the Israelis still play by rules of morality that their enemies are too uncivilized to consider important. Our enemies should be wary not to push us too far. They should consider the possibility that one day we will tire of playing with one hand tied behind our back.
ask those in the African nations if they are free from punishment, for what are THEY being punished?
Nigeria is a very dangerous county for Christians. The genocide against the non-muslims is not reported by the media. We here about through organizations that are located in the country.
“Timothy Mcveigh blew up children at a daycare center out of a radical “Christian “ motivation. ”
In McVeigh’s biography American Terrorist, released in 2002, he stated that he did not believe in a hell and that science is his religion. In June 2001, a day before the execution, McVeigh wrote a letter to the Buffalo News identifying himself as agnostic.
There’s simply no excuse for the counterfactual drivel you posted. None. It took thirty seconds to find his sentiments. THIRTY SECONDS.
You should be embarrassed to make such a patently false statement.
He was raised and baptized a Catholic and received the Catholic sacrament of anoiting before execution. You should be embarrassed at such shallow “research”.
It’s well known that McVeigh was raised Catholic, then professed to be agnostic during his adult years, up until the attacks. Just before he was executed, he requested last rites.
Thanks for revealing that. I wasn’t aware. God is indeed a merciful God.
With all respect Susanne Lee, your comment makes me despair of my sex. It is naive, childish, and utterly lacking in reason. You are not comparing like with like. The vast majority of Christian people abhor what the likes of Mcveigh do or did, the same is not true of Islam. It is time for people to take the focus of terrorism where Islam is concerned and concentrate instead on the ideology at its root. Can you point to one muslim country Susanne where you’d be happy to live? Forced marriage Pakistan style, lack of education, taking your life in your hands simply by practicing your Christian religion?. This is not hate speech, this is reality. Here in Europe spineless politicians, often backed by spineless clergy are literally dismantling our Christian heritage. Countless saints, the Church Fathers, writers of note such as Chesterton and Tolkien have warned us, but modern tolerance has proved more deadly than any sword. God help us all.
Thank you sister Alice for beautifully illustrating my point. It must be your feminine grace that gives you your eloquence 🙂
Search Iran 1960’s womens dress. Compare how the young women of then to how they dress today. The womens dress of the 1960 would get them murdered today. Not just Iran but all of Muslim countries today the women get to wear portable jail cells.
Afganistan Taliban guaranteed the girls could go to school same as the boys. Today the girls finish their schooling in 6th grade.
Excellent comment.
Weigal says, “jihadism, a form of Islam detached from reason.” President Erdogan of Turkey said not long ago that there is no radical Islam – there is only Islam. And he had that right. Some Muslims practice it fully, others chear them on, and I suppose there are some, in our Catholic terminology, we would call non-practicing or fallen away Muslims.
To be included in the list of those who have not learned the lessons is George W. Bush who was on CSpan yesterday along with Condi Rice opining still that Islam is a “religion of peace”. Just a few fanatics who have distorted it according to him.
‘Religious conviction remains a potent force in world affairs ‘ – true indeed .
Thank God our Church and Father figures led by The Spirit tries to bring that truth into our times often in their messages . The sorrow in their hearts as oceans pleading in union with Heart of our Mother & our Lord to help break the stony hearts from the debts that keep adding up ever more in rejecting God and His presence in our families – as broken marriage oaths- to love – as does our Lord , to accept children and all that follows .
‘Care for the water ‘ – papal intention for this month .
Pope Leo too like all our recent Popes that we know who carry the mystical gift to keep much more in their hearts , knows the preciousness of water – esp. that of tears of a Mother who see the sorrow of The Son and of the children , knows the good of us accepting same in gratitude to heal hearts , has given us this month in special honor of her sorrows .
The Kibeho apparitions ,its background of role of various powers that led to the tragic events as well as its lessons – that reminds us that our littleness in our sorrow for generations is not little in our Lord – His promise to St.Faustina – how one soul can make a difference for the world .
https://divinewilllife.org/retreat-on-the-holy-spirit-oct-25-27-2013-4-2/
This 25th anniv. – may it be an occasion of taking in our Oneness in our Lord to plead for mercy on behalf of all, that all be reborn in His Holy Divine Will & return to The Father bringing Him the Love He is owed ! FIAT !
Re Mark above (4:53 a.m.) –
Islam is not a religion of peace. Sorry, Bush (and Pope Francis).
It is a religion/political system of conquest.
See Francis Maier in The Catholic Thing, Sept. 9.
The official 9/11 narrative (held by Weigel) is not credible.
Here is a hilarious 5 minute summary of the official line.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZhIO2KXEeE
💯 and it’s not credible because it’s based on lies, half-truths, propaganda and fear mongering not unlike the whole covid vaccine narrative was which around 80 % of the people in this country fell for also.
Very true, Sir.
And it is very sad that the majority of the posters at CWR apparently believe both narratives.
Every muslim is a jihadist. Do not question that; it’s axiomatic.
Yet one of our Archbishops recently visited & celebrated a new state-of-the art mosque opening? Was this potentially dangerous?
When someone tells me “not to question” my Spidey sense tells me you are trying to gaslight me.
I am not a fan of hatred, but how do you deal with madness as an open society when it is in your face and dangerous?
Osama bin Laden’s declaration of Jihad against Americans. “Death to America” set the stage for the continuing conflict.
Shocking: At the site in NYC, 9/11 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Christine Todd Whitman and New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani assured the public that the air quality was safe.
The smoke seriously disabled many first responders who survived. They suffered in agony with serious illnesses, lung cancer, emphysema, and heart issues. Few survived.
Many Middle Eastern nations are our allies. Perhaps we should strengthen that relationship.
“I am not a fan of hatred.”
Your comment history suggests otherwise.
Mr. Muggs. We would have been at Windows of the World that day. We developed hatred soon after nearly 3,000 souls’ lives were lost.
History?
How does that address the fact that your comment history is hateful?
The west is hated. Trump is finding that out in Iran.
Here’s the real “religion of peace”! lol
Poll: Overwhelming majority of Jewish Israelis share genocidal belief there are ‘no innocent people in Gaza’ – Mondoweiss https://share.google/BU6CuDcZi0DwbgCD2!🤨
They have probably concluded that the vast majority of Palestinian people in Gaza are extremely violent.
From the Pew Poll survey results, some 13 or more years ago, summarized below with link, it seems that at least 60% of Moslem people in the Palestinian Territory (not Gaza per se, but Palestinians) were in support of violent Sharia (e.g., stoning for adultery, etc). And that’s how they intend to treat their own people!!
But there is no alleged genocide taking place n Gaza, so your point is moot. Your statement that there are no innocent Palestinians, however, is correct.
@Athanasius: As you phrase it, what you say is, in a way, true: “there is no *alleged* genocide”.” Rather it is a *real genocide in progress,* and those who support it will come to a bad end if they do not repent.
And if you really believe that “there are no innocent Palestinians” then you are truly moving away from God.
May God correct you.
The genocide in Palestine is there for all to see.
Lessons to Learn:
From the Pew Poll on Islamic Beliefs, by location world-wide, published in April 2013 (link below).
(Note: there was no polling in a few key Islamic countries, e.g., Iran.)
Among the Moslem populations with highest support for Sharia (I left a few out), with percentage favoring Sharia ranging from 99% to 74%, were:
Afghanistan…99%,
Palestinian Territory…89%,
Pakistan…84%, and
Egypt…74%.
Of these countries, and those respondents supporting Sharia, they were asked whether they supported violent
punishment under Sharia, represented by 3 indicators:
A. Stoning for adultery…
B. Cutting Hands off for theft…
C. Death for apostasy.
Taking a simple average of support for all 3 forms of violent Sharia, here is a summary for each place:
Most Violent: Pakistan…84% support,
2nd Most Violent: Afghanistan…82%,
3rd Most Violent: Egypt…74%,
4th Most Violent: Palestinian Territory…66%.
Support for Stoning to Death:
1st: Pakistan…89%,
2nd: Afghanistan…85%,
3rd: Palestinian Territory…84%,
4th: Egypt…81%.
Note: This is how Islamic people in these countries intend to treat their own people. That is: They begin by terrorizing their own people.

Believe it…or not…reality is still happening.
Here’s an excellent article breaking down the who and the how of 9/11.
https://www.unz.com/article/9-11-was-an-inside-outside-job/
Hint: it wasn’t dem ol’ 19 turban-wearing ay-rab hijackers wiv der box-cutterz
Yeah 19 Saudi Nationals that drank smoked snd visited strip clubs and we are told to hate Islam.
And, as added evidence. The banned Foxnews video suggesting Israeli involvement in 9/11. Even zio-foxnews had to deal with the Israeli issue!

At the end of the day every conspiracy narrative seems to end up blaming the Jews, Rothschilds,Israel, etc. They’re the perennial scapegoat for our own shortcomings.
Just follow the evidence to the most likely conclusion, Mrs. Cracker,–even when that conclusion turns out to be against your prejudices. That is the mark of intellectual growth.
Lessons to Learn, a letter from Mohamed Atta:
https://www.catholicleague.org/never-forget-who-bombed-us/
The Roman Catholic Church itself has failed its people and the world by not speaking clearly about Islam’s intent to destroy Christianity and the intellectual liberty of the human person. Islam is imperialistic and wants Allah to be worshipped by all. Islam calls for spilling the blood of all resisters.
Dr. Weigel does not repeat the naïveté of Pope Francis in his signing a joint document with Muslim religious leaders that stated God intended diverse religions. And Pope Leo has continued his would be statesmanship by welcoming Islamic mullahs into St. Peter’s Basilica.
