@ ‘Synodal Shepherds’ Attack the Sheep
Cardinal Mario Grech Secretary-General, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich General Relator Pope Francis’ appointees apparently remain in their positions managing a body of mixed bishops, religious sisters, Laity.
Fr Gerald E Murray canonist NY Archdiocese shreds the charade proposed as authentic Christian witness regarding the legitimacy of homosexual relations, homosexual marriage as a contribution to the Church.
Those of us who had premonitions regarding Synodality, the appointments and direction imposed on the Synod of Bishops by Pope Francis can now affirm its intended purpose. Our Church waits, and listens to what Leo XIV has in mind. What direction, if any, he will propose.
A year has passed. The philosophy of some is that Pope Leo is very cautious, deliberative. He takes his time to evaluate. Some of us realize the longer we take to address this kind of situation in which a movement continues to grow the more difficult it will be to make the necessary corrections. The prime example, the German Synodal Weg. Inertia can mean many things. Conviction notwithstanding.
EXACTLY SO well put.

@ Our Strange Catholic Moment
The Church has a thinner presence on the ground but seemingly a greater one in public debates (Schmitz). Catholic intellectual acumen has in effect drifted past its Catholic population. Thankfully much is preserved in ink, Catholic scholarship continues though downgraded.
What remains is the universal efficacy of its premises. Freedom of the will to choose good rather than evil, a consistency of clarity regarding the good. Unfortunately but fortunately as membership disappears the reasonable strength of its doctrines come to the surface.
A Catholic moment indeed foreseen by Ratzinger in smaller residency and greater containment of eternal truths. Leo XIV, so far a disappointment showering condemnations on Trump, U.S. policy during in flight interviews, newcomer Vance correcting him on the principles of just war theory, migration and the righteousness of national interests in its own population. A great moment for Catholic thought but ironically a vexing moment for Catholic unity Leo XIV’s main interest.

What a wonderful article & an amazing painting accompanying it. Thank you very much. I really appreciated reading that.
@ Cardinal Muller: Synod’s homosexuality report
Because the expanding homosexual-lifestyle demographic is propagated not biologically, but rather culturally, politically and even by getting locked-in through early sexual experimentation…one can only guess at the scandal pontificated by the synodal “expert” Study Group #9 report. Bureaucratic victimization. McCarrick, eat your heart out.
Did St. John Chrysostom have synodal clique #9 in mind when he discerned (discernment!) that “The road to hell is paved with the bones of priests and monks, and the skulls of bishops are the lampposts that light the path”?
But, hey, “who am I to judge?”
“McCarrick, eat your heart out.”
Is cardiophagy a feature of hell?
“Synod’s homosexuality report leads to ‘heretical relativization’ of marriage ”
Leo needs to act, but given that half the bishops that elected him agree with the ‘heretical relativation’, it’s unlikely he will make the necessary pronouncements.
What we need is a clear, plain-spoken reaffirmation that God created us male and female, marriage is between a man and a woman for life, homosexual activity is immoral, and is in no way remotely comparable to marriage. Those who reject the doctrine on the family cannot be in communion with the Catholic Church. Period. The End. Come Holy Spirit!
“Some of the country’s most prominent Catholic colleges and universities are holding separate LGBTQ-affirming graduation ceremonies this spring, including one that also plans to include a drag performance.”
In 2008, the birthrate took a dive as a result of economic disruptions of the “mortgage crisis” (the government interference in mortgages crisis, but that’s another story). The babies that weren’t born in 2008 and beyond aren’t going to be college freshman in 2026 and beyond.
I’m going to enjoy watching these frauds fall in the future.
What I’d like to see is Leo stand behind a flaming brazier, toss the report in, turn around, and walk away.
