Pro-life activist questions inclusion of Candace Owens in speaker’s bureau

It is important for all Catholics of goodwill, but especially incumbent upon Catholic leaders,” says Amanda Achtman, “to consider what that does to the witness of the Catholic Church and then to constructively counter it.”

Amanda Achtman is a Canadian Catholic pro-life advocate. Ethics Director for Canadian Physicians for Life and founder of the Dying to Meet You project, Achtman has built a reputation for herself as an articulate and passionate voice for the value of life in the face of suffering. In Canada, where one in every 20 deaths is due to medical assistance in dying, otherwise known as euthanasia, her voice is necessary.

Candace Owens almost needs no introduction. With a YouTube channel boasting nearly six million subscribers and an aggressive method of media engagement, it is hard to be online these days without bumping up against her content.

One of these two young women has been platformed by a U.S.-based Catholic speakers’ agency that lists such high-profile Catholics as Bishop Robert Barron and Dr. Scott Hahn. The other has had her initially successful application to that same agency quietly dropped.

In an effort to raise her profile outside of Canada, Achtman was recently encouraged by some trusted Catholic colleagues to consider joining the Catholic Speakers Organization (CSO).

The agency advertises itself as a one-stop speaker shop for parishes and Catholic groups. Over 400 speakers are profiled on the site, and the list includes not just famous bishops, but also sports stars like NFL quarterback Phil Rivers, former politicians like Rick Santorum, and many leaders of the pro-life movement.

Achtman initiated the application process last June, and it was a smooth one at the outset. After a few back-and-forth emails with CSO Director of Operations Wendy Jasinki in June 2025, Jasinki cheerily signed off, “I would love to welcome you as a speaker!”

But then Achtman discovered that one of CSO’s “featured” speakers was Candace Owens. That posed a problem – at least for Achtman.

For those who haven’t been following the bouncing ball crazily careening around in this too spacious corner of the U.S. conservative movement, it is difficult to convey who Owens is and all that she represents.

In the last nine years, the 36-year-old from Stamford, CT, has worked with some of the biggest organizations in the conservative ecosystem – Turning Point USA (TPUSA), PragerU, and The Daily Wire. She is both young and attractive, and even her most vocal critics admit that she is a master communicator. She has been hailed as a fearless culture warrior, uncowed in the face of woke and Zionist opposition.

Despite a history of being hired or mentored by several very high-profile Jewish conservatives, including Dennis Prager and Ben Shapiro, Owens has gained notoriety for her antisemitic content.

Owens left her position as communications director at Turning Point USA in 2019 after her comments about Adolf Hitler. “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine. The problem is that… he had dreams outside of Germany.”

She parted ways with the Daily Wire two weeks following a Mar 2024 show in which Owens queried whether there might be a “very small ring of specific people” doing “horrific” things in Hollywood “who are using the fact they are Jewish to shield themselves from any criticism.”

Owens has carried on in that vein, shielding herself from criticism by declaring her comments are taken out of context or that she is being attacked for being anti-Zionist rather than being antisemitic.

Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU, wrote Owens a 15-page letter in September 2024, “one of the most difficult letters I have ever written,” outlining the historical and categorical errors in her content.

“You may not consciously intend to engender hatred of Jews and Israel. But that doesn’t really matter. The fact is that you are doing so. Whatever your motives, I cannot think of anyone in public life engendering as much suspicion of Jews, Zionism, and Israel as are you,” wrote Prager.

It was these concerns about Owens that Achtman sent a follow-up email to Jasinski.

As a Jewish-Catholic, Achtman felt she could not, in good conscience, share a platform, if only a virtual one, with a woman who had built her business on Jew-hate and whose rhetoric has only ramped up since her 2024 conversion to Catholicism.

The month following her departure from the Daily Wire, Owens announced on Instagram that she had been received into the Catholic Church. The next month, on the feast of St. Joan of Arc, an organization called Catholics for Catholics hosted a “Welcome Home Mass for Candace Owens.”

In August 2024, on her relaunched YouTube channel Candace, Owens told guest Tristan Tate that Judaism is a “pedophile-centric religion that believes in demons…[and] child sacrifice.” Two weeks later, she was a guest speaker at an anniversary celebration of the Station of the Cross Catholic Media Network.

Despite having committed herself to a hierarchical church that has both creed and catechism, Owens began to speak as one who did not answer to either.

The 1965 declaration Nostra Aetate made clear that the Church, “mindful of the patrimony she shares with the Jews and moved not by political reasons but by the Gospel’s spiritual love, decries hatred, persecutions, displays of anti-Semitism, directed against Jews at any time and by anyone.”

In his 2010 visit to the synagogue of Rome, Pope Benedict XVI said, “the Church has not failed to deplore the failings of her sons and daughters, begging forgiveness for all that could in any way have contributed to the scourge of anti-Semitism and anti-Judaism.”

But in every way that is open to her, Owens has done the very opposite and has built her brand on antisemitism, conspiracy theories, and calumny. With a large crucifix and reliquary as her studio backdrop, Owens spins tales that capture the imagination of millions.

There is her story of how “psychopathic” Brigitte Macron, wife of French president Emmanuel Macron, is a biological man. And after TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed last September, Owens engaged in a campaign to suggest his widow, Erika Kirk, and TPUSA leadership are responsible for his murder.

On Feb. 10, Owens posted on X, “If we had any semblance of a justice system, Erika would at this point be taken in for questioning by the police.”

In the secular arena, there are legal remedies for victims of defamation and slander. The Macrons filed a defamation suit against Owens in a Delaware court last July. TPUSA sent Owens a cease-and-desist letter last month. But by what mechanism do Catholic organizations adjudicate whether a particular Catholic speaks with the imprimatur of the Church?

The Catholic Speakers Organization promises that all its speakers have been “rigorously screened and vetted” and are “diocesan approved.”

But CSO is not as diligent in establishing or documenting the bona fides of their speakers as they claim. Some speakers have reference letters from parish priests attached to their profiles and a few have a diocesan letter of good standing. Candace Owens has neither.

As Owens is listed as living in Nashville, I contacted the communications representative of the Diocese of Nashville, Rick Musacchio. He told me that the diocese has no record of having been approached by either Owens or CSO for a letter of recommendation and, in any case, no such letter has ever been written.

In July, Jasinski sent Achtman’s concerns up the chain of command to her boss, Joe Condit, founder of CSO and serial entrepreneur.

A protracted email exchange ensued in which Achtman would politely prod, and Condit would deflect.

In October, Condit wrote, “We are looking into everything and if this is the subject matter of why you want to speak, this call would be premature, and I am not able at this time to comment.” At the beginning of January, he signed off on the file, “Unfortunately, at this time, I have to decline your request. Thank you for your understanding.” And that, as they say, is that.

Except it isn’t. It isn’t enough to dismiss Owens as a bit player or a grifter.

In CSO promotional material, Condit describes the organization as “spreading the Word of God by promoting and representing professional speakers of Faith that do it best.”

When I asked Achtman why Catholics should care about Owens being platformed by the Catholic Speakers Organization, she responded:

“When Jews think of Catholicism, they now think of Candace Owens. It is important for all Catholics of goodwill, but especially incumbent upon Catholic leaders, to consider what that does to the witness of the Catholic Church and then to constructively counter it.”

  1. I feel sorry for Mrs. Owens. Id like to imagine she’s become unwell rather than the alternatives. There’s so much good she might have been accomplishing today. She’s in need of prayers.
I know others who’ve been hijacked by this Qanon type nonsense. There are Catholic sites peddling videos claiming that global Zionist pedophile networks eat children. Seriously. It’s Pizza Gate all over again.

        • No, but the author devoted his book to Satan.

          Saul Alinsky.

So glad to see the guardians of decency are using Rules for Radicals as their playbook.

“There is her story of how “psychopathic” Brigitte Macron, wife of French president Emmanuel Macron, is a biological man.”

I don’t know whether BM was born male, but for the sake of argument assume that’s patently untrue. The relationship between her and her husband started when he was her student, making her an old child abuser. We did get the hot lens incident of her slapping him across the face, generally we call that physical abuse. I don’t think psycopath is a stretch here, but if this is the hill Achtman wants to die on, oh well.

          • So, Pitch Fitchfork your “reasoning” is Brigitte Macron did something evil therefore it is permissible to do evil? If Candy Cain Owen focused her criticism on Brigitte Macron consorting with an age that would be fair. But claiming she is a he and the actual biological father of her now husband? So you are OK with that?

Also, Eric Kirk as grieving widow has been accused by Candy Cane of murdering he husband oh and being a Lesbian groomer of underage girl.

That is sick dude. That is out there like Pluto son.

        • It is Satan. Satan will do and has done since 2000 years everything possible to destroy the Catholic Church. Why? Because Christ instituted it. Candace Owen is a scandal and should be told why she is wrong.

  2. Criticism of Israel should never be construed as necessarily critical of those adhering to the Jewish faith.

Be careful when individuals get demonized; it’s a favorite tool of extreme leftists in the USA.

    • You do know that Candace (heck, the whole crowd at Daily Wire) builds her entire brand on demonizing individuals don’t you?

Or that she also started as an extreme leftist who made a name for developing doxing websites for exposing conservative activists and donors?

Holding people accountable for their actions is not some left-wing gaslighting tactic; it’s called being an adult. Heck, “Instruct the ignorant” is a spiritual work of mercy.

      • Mr. Dave, it’s true this sort of thing happens on all sides. But as brothers & sisters in Christ we’re held to a higher accountability & behavior:

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgement.” But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgement; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, “You fool!” will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”

Again, I feel sorry for Mrs. Owens & any other Christian who has been hijacked to some extreme or the other. I hope someone reaches out to her. You’re right, it is an important work of mercy. Assuming we do that in charity.

      • “Or that she also started as an extreme leftist”

This is a curious criticism. It’s been said someone who isn’t a socialist at twenty has no heart, but somebody who remains a socialist at forty has no head. So the question is this opportunistic ideological migration or just normal maturation as she became acquainted with marriage, motherhood and the annual abuse known as Formn 1040.

There’s an entire branch of “conservatism” (you know the “movement” that hasn’t even conserved the right for a young woman to empty her bladder assured that the large shoes in the next stall aren’t a mans) which was staffed by former leftists that were proudly called “Neo-Conservatives” (Irving Kristol, Norm Podhoretz, Paul Wolfowitz, Elliott Abrams, Richard Perle, Paul Bremer, and Douglas Feith.) after being branded as such by Michael Harrington.

Now, because of the spectacular policy failures and the large number of Jewish adherents, the label has been toxified as antisemitic. Because adult men can’t be held accountable for Iraq, Afghanistan and other epic failures, but we must pursue some podcaster.

And now prominent neocons, far removed from the defense of youthful delusions such as Bill Kristol & David Frum are out and out leftists.

You can criticize her for many things, but the “Used to be a leftist” charge applies to a lot of people.

        • The article seems full of adjectives that give the author away.
I’m curious, Is being the Jewish an ethnic value or religious one?
If the latter, how is it possible to be Jewish and a Christian?
The people who rejected Christ, the Messiah, were those in the New Testament who claimed to be the people of God…

    • Leftists , to start with are anti Faith and especially anti Catholicism IF they have any faith all.
They also hate the Jews and are in bed with muslims who hate the jews. Both back each other in order to become stronger.

  3. “When Jews think of Catholicism, they now think of Candace Owens.” Well, Jews that I know don’t think of her as some sort of official voice of the Church. She has a right to her opinions, but she in no way speaks for the Church. Just another conspiracy theory nut.

    • Some conspiracy narratives have been more dangerous historically than others. Blood libel narratives especially so.
A Russian Jewish man was tried in court for a blood libel charge as recently as the 20th century . A Catholic priest was a witness for the prosecution.
This is dark and disturbing stuff and we should take the spread of it today very seriously.

      • Medieval Catholics invented the Blood Libel. Even Anna Katharina Emmerich’s writings said it was still happening in 19th C Germany. The lie is still believed in some dark corners. Owens invoked that old charge when discussing the case of Leo Frank, a Jew lynched in Georgia after being dubiously convicted of murdering a young girl. Apparently no one explained to Owens that only the blood of little Christian boys will do.

Let’s see, Owens thinks Ashkenazi Jews are really Kazars, not descendants of ancient Hebrews and therefore have no connection to the Holy Land. Moreover, Russia “created” Ukraine. (So much for St. Voldomyr of Kviv.) She claims Stalin was a Jew, that Dr. Mengele never carried out his horrid experiments, that Jews were behind sundry Revolutions, and are even secretly responsible for our Catholic priest scandals.

Why exactly do people want to take guidance from someone who’s unwilling to say whether the earth is flat or round?

        • Even if medieval catholics believed in nonsense, it should not be blamed on the Catholic Church. for the simple reason that there is not any reference to that in ay part of the teachings of the church. The huge problem which is used by EVIL is IGNORANCE. Ignorant people can be infiltrated by lies and so much misery . If they happen to be Catholic, then it is easy to blame to Catholic Church who has nothing to do with all of that.

        • I’m looking forward to your article about antiSemitism Miss Sandra. I hope we can see that in CWR one day soon. God bless!
          🙂

          • Thank you for the link to that older article Miss Sandra. I remember reading it.
I think at this point in time we would benefit from a newer updated version.Thank you.

        • @Sandra Miesel: “…that Jews were behind sundry revolutions.”

Do you deny the Jewish–Communism link and the subsequent Marxist revolutions (Bolshevik Revolution, German Revolution of 1918-19) that many played prominent roles in?

        • I read your article. Excellent, thank you. As a Catholic with qualified trad leanings, I am disappointed to have visited a few trad podcasts that now downplay the Holocaust, which invited comments that are flat out evil, invoking the libel that “the Jews brought it on themselves.” My late uncle was an officer in Patton’s Third Army that liberated Buchenwald. I risk a stroke every time I read such comments.

  4. “When Jews think of Catholicism, they now think of Candace Owens…”.

That would be as silly and as prejudiced as if all Jews were judged by Catholics based on Bibi N. and the settlers, or all black protestants based on Reverend Al.

But the mainstream conservative pack is hell bent on having Owens cancelled, is loudly barking and ferociously growling at anyone associated with her, and no doubt it will largely succeed, even though it will take longer than it did for the naive young lady booted off the religious liberty commission for daring to question the mainstream conservative line about the modern nation of Israel.

There is nothing new about this, I am old enough to remember how James Abourezk, an Arab-American Christian (Greek Orthodox) and US Senator from South Dakota was ferociously criticized for daring to oppose mainstream views on the middle east.
Owens is an idiot, but Abourezk was a dignified, thoughtful man who dared to speak up for the one minority in the US that is apparently not allowed to speak for and defend their ethnic brothers elsewhere on the globe. (He did this at the same time he was advancing the well-being of the native Americans among whom he had grown up on a Sioux reservation in South Dakota.) He deserved more respect then and deserves to be remembered now. Owens is a provocative distraction who has lost touch with reality, but there are real issues about the middle east that need someone of the caliber of the Senator to articulate.

    • Guilty by association is a human weakness and because that weakness exists we are command by Holy Writ NOT TO CAUSE SCANDAL. Which is what Owen and those among her who are like minded are doing..

      • Ok, when I think of Jews I think of Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, Alysa Rosenbaum (Ayn Rand) Edward Bernays and Harry Blackmun.

        • Karl Marx was raised a Calvinist by his former secular Jewish Father who converted from being a Jewish Atheist to a Reformed Christion. Imagine judging Catholicism by Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi or The Grand Inquisitor of Spain or Francis Kissling…

Yer a bigot buddies and you need to repent the demonic JEw hate.

  5. I have seen Owens a few times on various TV shows. In general the thought that has evolved is that while attractive and conservative, which should be appealing to me, there is something not right about her. Because she is black and conservative, conservatives want to accept her, why not, she is part of there camp. But after listening to her, I find her to be too narcistic for my taste, and frankly a little off kilter. Now her anti semitic outburst and the other crazy stuff she is saying, should cause sane people to stay as far away from her as possible.

    • Candace is not the same person I started seeing several years ago. When I heard about some of the things she has said lately, I almost did not believe it was true. Now I have heard these words from her own mouth and I am shocked at the change in her. Even more, I am shocked that she has entered the Catholic Church. Someone has mentored her in the faith to this end and should have seen that there is a problem brewing in her mind. I don’t think we should be bragging about her conversion as it doesn’t appear to be from the heart. We surely need to pray for her but she shouldn’t be a speaker from the same organization who affiliates with Scott Hahn and others. She should be taken off that group’s list of speakers.

      • I can see why those who “trust” the government, Israel, Trump, Nentayahu, the FBI, CIA , mainstream media narrative, wouldn’t want her to speak but why anyone else. Why is everyone so scared of her?

        • John Bilbee: Because she is a pathological liar with venom in her heart, and she validates those who share the same evil. That’s why.

  6. It is amazing, but not surprising, that someone from Montreal would write an article condemning Candace Owens! Do you watch her podcast, or are you looking for a promotion? To make the claim that she is accusing Erika of murdering her husband, proves to me that you do not watch or LISTEN with the mind of Christ.
All Candace (and all of her followers) wants, is the truth. The Charlie Kirk murder has been clouded with lies from every source. Isn’t it a shame that the only person who appears to care about what happened to that poor man, is trying to be silenced?

    • I have watched several of Candace broadcasts periodically. I began when she was accusing Kamala Harris of being a liar and producing so-called evidence that was never confirmed. She moved on to Macron with her accusations, and is being sued. She jokes about that! Then, she capitalized on a past friendship with Charlie Kirk to pose questions, implications and then accusations about his widow Erika and a few others in Charlie’s organization. That’s what she does: she creates stories to villify others, earns money and reputation while doing this, and then plays innocent. That is not Catholic behavior! It certainly isn’t the behavior of a recent convert who presents herself as knowledgeable in our faith. I don’t trust her as a result and I don’t trust the ones she relies on who are known to be anti Pope Francis an now our current Pope. Francis and now is against our current Pope. How already has she spoken at a few Catholic conferences? I didn’t know that! I became suspicious whenever I did watch because the theme was the identical: accuse others consistently but present herself as an honest reporter seeking truth. Truth never materializes, but continued accusations do – then she drops that target and moves onto another target. Keeping the audience is hooked, she doesn’t seem to care who she harms in the process. That again is not Catholic behavior! I just now as I’m writing began to wonder who is pushing her into the Catholic limelight and for what purpose?

    • Is she? Define “grifter”.

This reads like the resume of a grifter to me.

  7. Aside from the moral ramifications, which are many some quite serious such as slander, if only by suggestion here presumptively related to Ms Owens – the apparent question is why do so many find interest, even love, in conspiracies? Is it that many are intrigued by the mystery? A reason why the New York Enquirer was a best selling newsrag.
The original New York Enquirer was a newspaper founded in 1826 by Mordecai Noah, which later merged to become the New York Courier and Enquirer. It was a prominent political paper, supporting Andrew Jackson (Google AI).
Mystery, backroom politics, scandalous affairs were and are part of American culture however bizarre, however obscene. In fact the more the better read. Now we have the monumental conspiracy of the ages, the Gibraltar of scandal, the Epstein Files, unfolding before our inquisitive eyes. Is it moral sickness? Or is it righteous judgment of the rich and wicked? Do men share an engraved depravity toward little girls teenage and younger?.
What is overwhelmingly obvious is the cultural depth of this immoral conspiracy. It has all the ingredients of a whodunnit murder with details emerging on Jeffrey Epstein’s death, the big names, unthinkable spectrum of involvement. A crushing blow to the integrity of a nation and its leaders. What response is warranted other than that initiated by Saint Peter Damian and the scourge of sexual perversions with the ranks of the Church from Cardinal to hooded monk. The Catholic Church has the opportunity and obligation to address this Head on. To call our debased to repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

      • I think some newer Catholics are finding catechesis through websites and podcasts today. And those can lead them to weird places. And old errors.

    • Why are we drawn to conspiracies? Following the symbolic logic of Jonathan Pageau, we can see that conspiracies function as a symbolic integration of fragmented social phenomena.

The human mind naturally seeks the “Why.” When a set of similar but seemingly unrelated circumstances emerge in society, the mind instinctively attempts to “connect the dots,” much like a storyteller weaving disparate plot threads into a single narrative. A conspiracy theory is, in essence, a synthetic judgment—an attempt to bring “the many” under the rule of “the one.”

When we encounter these theories, we typically fall into two traps:

Naive Acceptance: Accepting the story at face value as a literal, historical fact.
Cynical Dismissal: Ignoring the theory entirely as “crazy,” thereby missing the underlying reality it represents.

The proper response is to pay attention to the specific elements the conspiracy is trying to connect. A conspiracy theory acts as a symptom of a real development in the body politic. Even if the specific “plot” isn’t factually true, it serves a vital symbolic function: it collects a genus of phenomena under a single heading so we can begin to name it.

For example, Masonic Plots in the Church. Attributing internal ecclesiastical changes to “Masonic plots” may or may not be historically accurate in a given instance. However, symbolically, the “Mason” represents an alien influence or a shift in the underlying spirit of the institution. The conspiracy theory is the mind’s way of identifying a real, felt transformation—a “gathering of fragments”—even when the ultimate unifying cause remains hidden from view.

      • Inquisit is to inquire, which burgeoned into inquisition within the Church. Although skepticism of events a natural response as you say can be driven by lack of trust.
It can even degrade to conspiracy within a conspiracy, as Brady perceived Ms Owens as a plant to obscure real conspiracies. Where does it end? Or should it end? There’s reason to have a healthy critical perspective, and with that awareness of the moral dynamic affecting all, which is the self ingratiating falsehood that we are not sinners like them.

    • “Do men share an engraved depravity toward little girls teenage and younger?”

No, but there is a definite preference for younger WOMEN.

When Harrison Ruffin Tyler passed away last year at the age of 96, he was the last surviving grandchild of the tenth (yes 10th) President of the United States John Tyler. The period from the president’s birth to his last grandchild’s death spanned 235 years. There were two consecutive generations that “robbed the cradle”.

When Irene Triplett died in May 2020 at age 90, she was the last Civil War pensioner. Her father was Moses Triplett. In 1924, Triplett, who fought on both sides of the war, then in his 80’s, married Elida Hall, who was nearly 50 years his junior. It was his second marriage, according to news reports; his first wife died in 1923. Moses died later and his wife was eligible for his Civil War pension. When her mother died, in 1967, Irene Triplett, who had a cognitive disability became eligible for the pension.

Such an age disparity in marriages wasn’t entirely unusual at the time. Researcher Jay Hoar claimed to have found 72 marriages of Civil War veterans in which there was at least a 19-year age difference between husband and wife. That included one union between a 93-year-old man and his 26-year-old bride. Many such marriages occurred during the Great Depression, when a military pension helped provide financial security and the wife could serve as her older husband’s caregiver.

There is of course a biological reality at play for men interested in continuing their blood line. A woman’s best chance of conceiving, delivering and raising healthy children is generally between 17 and 35. An OB-GYN will automatically diagnose a woman pregnant for the first time at age 35 or greater with “supervision of elderly primigravida”, so that’s a reasonable inference of when significant danger to the mother and child begins.

Maybe this was the motivation for actor Tony Randall, widowed after a childless marriage of five decades, he married his then 25 year old second wife at the age of 75. They had two children before he died less than a decade later at age 84. Maybe his son will take a 25 year old bride at age 75, who knows?

Perhaps your contemplation of this sort of matter is limited by your failure to consider the obverse situation. There is something of a pandemic of females involved with students in schools and the reaction is muted by men quietly snickering “lucky little dude” and women romanticizing the relationship.

You might remember one Mary Kay Letourneau, whose “marriage” to her victim was broadcast on television-they received a six figure payment for it. Her first “encounter” with the him occurred in her home after her husband left for work and while her children slept. Reverse the roles, and nothing like that would have happened-the male perpetrator wouldn’t have served less than a decade and no media operation would have dared broadcast the “marriage” of a male teacher who slept with a female student before her 13th birthday.

In October of 2007, USA Today ran a piece by Robert Tanner of the AP entitled “Male, female abuse victims draw different reactions”. It’s still true over 18 years later.

      • I remember Mary Kay Letourneau and yes there are many instances of adult females violating younger boys, although the stats regarding adult male violations on female children are by far greater.
Males by nature are the more common aggressor [despite a cultural change in dynamics and the enigma of masculine toxicity, the trend toward effeminacy]. From the perspective of sin, the attraction of ‘forbidden fruit’ [if it’s wrong it’s more rewarding] the innocence of the young, unknowing female seems to inordinately drive men given to sensuality.

        • “Males by nature are the more common aggressor”

The female perpetrators don’t operate from aggression, but enticement and it’s often diminished or not reported, males don’t get rewarded for being victims. One study found that 43% of school sexual assaults are committed by females, so it’s not as disproportionate as one might imagine.

I experienced some inappropriate (nothing near MKL level stuff, and certainly not legally actionable) behavior by a female in-law as a young teen. My parents only found out about it when I was in my early 30’s and only because they made an inquiry about what they thought an inordinately hostile reaction to the individual.

Another example was an account I remember reading a couple decades ago about an elderly man who had always had emotional intimacy issues. in his 70’s he finally broke down and told his wife that after the death of his father in his early teens, his mother began sleeping in his bed. This proceeded to incestuous intercourse and unwittingly, the boy impregnated his mother. She then procured an abortion, and after it, came home bleeding-telling the boy “look what you did to me, why didn’t you tell me you started to [insert euphemism for ejaculate here]?” He carried this around for decades, emotionally distraught and suspect of moral culpability.

We do a great disservice to the world assuming the covetous aspect of concupiscence is somehow is predominately a male problem. I remember the jokes about Tony Randall when he married his second wife. He was either an old fool or an odd sort of predator, but what exactly could the motivation be for a woman of 25 to marry a 75 year old? He certainly wasn’t going to be her or the children’s protector-however, he had fame and money.

Even now, G. Maxwell is attempting to portray herself as Epstein’s subordinate, not an abuser in her own right. I see female sexual incontinence every time I go to the gym and young women are parading around in clothing that appears to be purchased from Sherwin Williams. Of course when they draw attention or even end up in some male’s line of sight, he’s a “gym creep”.

          • G. Maxwell can portray herself any way but likely has trouble doing so honestly. She is, after all, a convict of sex trafficking because of her role recruiting and facilitating the sexual abuse of underage girls for Epstein and his pals.

It seems logical to assume that she got some satisfaction helping her boyfriend orchestrate potential blackmail schemes. Or she liked the $$$, took vicarious sexual pleasure, or sought other similarly malicious excitement. She and J. Epstein were equal partners in creepy crime and immorality.

      • In previous generations young people often married as teens. It wasn’t controversial as it might be today. Widowers could marry much younger women. A younger wife could help raise stepchildren & an older widower might offer her more financial security.People did what they needed to survive & to found families in eras with lower life expectancies.
A great grandmother of mine married a young man in his 20’s when she was 12 & they had 9 children. They remained married until his death. But honorable marriage & family founding is a very different thing from misusing young women & girls.Or boys for that matter.

        • Returning to the original issue is useful for focus here.

“Do men share an engraved depravity toward little girls teenage and younger?”

My great grandmother was 17 when she married my great-grandfather then 21. She was the first of a second group of children born to my great great grandfather after he was widowed, so yes, there are exceptions to the normative tendencies and there are practical considerations in marriage. They had twelve, seven made it to adulthood and remained married until his death.

But it remains that for successful conception, gestation and birth-as well as maximizing the chance of raising her young, it is best for a woman to be in the general age range of 18-35 when giving birth. Modern obstetrics is no match for body with maximum hyaluronic acid content. At that point, she has matured enough physically to endure the rigors of pregnancy, while having the vitality and emotional maturity deal with the ambiguities and boundless energy of small children-and who will be able to likely to be able to deal with the terrible teens. A man who is pursuing younger or older females is at a disadvantage in contributing to the gene pool. I know men who would happily ogle a college cheerleader, but would punch a friend in the mouth if the friend ogled a high school girl. MOST men live by the creed “less than 16, gets you more than 20″.

When you write ” did what they needed to survive”, but I submit to you that a woman who marries a much older man for purely economic reasons, well she’s still just what used to be called a “woman of easy virtue”.

Men do not have an exclusive dominion over concupiscence. Women initiate something like 70% of all divorces in the country, and despite popular misconceptions, most are not due to abuse or neglect. I had a friend whose wife picked up and left because “we were never meant to be together”. Within months, she was on the then nascent dating apps-not sure if she found it satisfying to play the field or if the field just played her-but I know that two decades later, she’s moved a couple times and still has my friend’s last name and kids with “issues”. Another left a nice middle class home and by two years after the divorce, she was on guy no. 3.

I would think sitting in a confessional would disabuse a priest of the idea that females are “sugar and spice, and everything nice”, but then maybe there’s a problem with confessional candor among female penitents. Did Nancy Pelosi make sure to get pictures of her ashed forehead last week?

          • Survival in part requires financial security. It’s not necessarily the only factor in a marriage. Women had fewer opportunities to earn money back in the day.

          • “Do men share an engraved depravity toward little girls, teenage and younger?” is a rhetorical question that I expected would draw response. From the perspective of this priest human nature does contain any inborn perversions since the human appetites, our base sensual desires are good if directed toward their due end.
An adult male predilection for female children [or male] is a learned behavior freely adopted and made increasingly prevalent in a culture that glamorizes little girls. That itself perverses, a perversion the effect of original sin.
As to whether males are more the aggressor than females, I don’t believe it’s necessary to quote authorities to agree males are physically and emotively attuned to be more aggressive than females inclusive of sexual matters. Certainly there are exceptions, although exceptions speak to a more universal rule.
When we address a priest’s formation of knowledge in the confessional it can be said with confidence from the perspective of counselling, ordinary experience that promiscuous women rarely if ever go to confession seemingly having made a life decision. Men are more likely to confess their sexual sins simply on the basis that those sins are more ‘expected’ of them in our culture than they are for women [Hawthorne’s Red Letter brings that home]. At any rate there are some good points made during this exchange that help us renew or modify our understanding.

    • Mordecai Manual Noah’s life story surely shares some tangential relationship with Owens’. Wikipedia was my only source–if anyone has more, please share. Apparently Mordecai was Jewish. So there is that.

      • Early on, Mordecai Noah supported Andrew Jackson. Although not pro-slavery, Jackson owned plantations and owned slaves to work them. Jackson was certainly not an abolitionist.

Note: Noah’s New York Enquirer did not evolve into The National Enquirer. Mordecai Noah’s New York Enquirer (founded in early 1800s) differed from the Hearst Enquirer (founded in 1926). It was Hearst’s Enquirer, not Noah’s, which devolved into the National Enquirer.

In some mirror image way, Candace Owens reflects Mordecai Noah. Noah, a Jew, did support Jackson. Jackson owned slaves and was not an abolitionist by any stretch. So there is this.

    • Conspiracy Theorism is based in a desire for self defense and social reform. Perhaps if people in your church weren’t so corrupt, Oh fr. Morello, people wouldn’t even consider them.

Furthermore, Vatican Second defends freedom of speech. If Candace Owens believes that Jews are the hive-mind behind everything wrong in the church, who are we to stop her? As of today she hasn’t called for their death.

        • Yes.

If she called for their extermination, then we should drop her definitely, for calling to genocide is a bad thing…

Except that she hasn’t done that. You are innocent of all crime until you commit the crime. Just because some people think she is moving into that direction, doesn’t mean she will desire the extermination of Jews.

          • “If she called for their extermination, then we should drop her definitely…”
            ********
Is that even in question? I know a few clergy who’ve fallen into Holocaust denial conspiracies but I’m not acquainted with anyone outside of the Iranian regime & its proxies who are calling for extermination. Goodness.

Can we just pray for Candace Owens & others who are confused & misled & hope someone who they will respect can help them? That’s what Christians do.

      • I agree that we should pray for everyone, but I don’t think people who believe in conspiracy theories are confused or deluded. Some might be but it’s not the essence of their beliefs.

They just happen to see things in a different way. Like I said to fr. Morello P.H.D, if people were not corrupt, there would be no conspiracy theories.

        • If you understood the origin of the term “conspiracy theory”, you would never use it, unless you like being manipulated.

I remember when people who questioned the efficacy and safety of the jab, the utility of surgical masks or why churches and pizzerias were ere “super-spreader events” but big box stores and liquor stores were essential necessities were called “conspiracy theorists”. It was six years ago when all the respective types parroted “two weeks to flatten the curve”.

  8. Thanks for the history of the Enquirer, Father. I appreciate hearing that it supported Andrew Jackson, the original presidential disruptor, who made the elites of his time every bit as upset as Donald does in his, despite their immensely different backgrounds.

You are right about the Epstein revelations. I almost feel like I owe an apology to those few congresspeople who led the stubborn, insistent charge to have the files more fully released. I had wondered why they thought it was so important. Now every day brings another bombshell out of it, today it is a former prime minister of Norway being arrested. What is being revealed goes way beyond what I thought the connections would be among the global elites. it is amazingly widespread.

  9. In Re: the Epstein Files

No one in their right mind ought to have any illusions about the sinful state of individuals in today’s world. Forget about the damn files; just get out there and start proclaiming the Gospel until you’re blue in the face. When you’ve done that, you might have 30 seconds left over to wring your hands about those damn Epstein files. Just do as Christ commanded you : EVANGELIZE!

    • In other words: Who cares if pedophile politicians are graping people? We need barely catechized amateurs with zero social skills screaming the gospel at people who decided long time ago they don’t like it.

  10. Candace Owen’s has made countless conspiracy theories that have been proven incorrect. She has never been banned or demonetized despite this. Clearly she is present in the media to water down the true conspiracies of modern day.

    • “She has never been banned or demonetized despite this.”

Who should do the banning or demonetizing? What’s the criteria or process?

  11. Seriously, “a woman who had BUILT HER BUSINESS on Jew-hate?” Clearly, Candace NEVER talks about anything else except Jewish people. “When Jews think of Catholicism, they now think of Candace Owens.” Wow. Yep, with the approx. 1.4 billion Catholics around the world, of course, Jewish people ONLY think of what Candace Owens says! Yes, that makes perfect sense.
I am so sick of reading talking points.

    • Why do people gravitate to believing guilt by sociological identification? It is easier to live with our sins when we project an explanation for most of the evil in the world onto those we assume are different from us. Innocence by disassociation.

And a very large percentage of that 1.4 billion are sin deniers too whatever they profess.

  12. Candace Owens is not anti-Semitic. I listen to her daily — this articles smacks of out of context caricatures of Candace based on the works of thoughts from other people. Being opposed to Israel’s genocidal behaviour, dumping 10s of millions of dollars into US elections, expanding their borders, etc. is not the same as being anti-Semitic. Candace has repeatedly made distinctions between Israel the current country and the true Jewish people. Go to the actual source — not soundbites. I am very disappointed in CWR for this epic failure of an article, which seems to be pure slander.

  13. A mostly unhelpful article with the usual ritual quoting of Nostra Aetate.

NA declined to tell us what anti-semitism is, by the way, so we are at liberty to use our Catholic tradition and our moral and common sense.

Mrs. Owens is basically guilty of noticing things and especially of noticing that certain patterns behavior are found to be more closely and frequently associated with one group rather than with another.

The Kirk assassination and the Epstein files are legitimate targets of focused investigation.

I wish her well in her endeavors.

    May justice be done.

  14. If Achtman is so disappointed or concerned with Owens’ take on the Judaism, then why wouldn’t she have just used CSO as a platform to counter Owens to some degree & offer alternate opinions? Hopefully you asked this of her Anna?
All Catholics should be ‘concerned’ with Judaism – it doesn’t follow though that this amounts to anti-semitism.

  15. I’m not a listener, but then again, I’m not the target audience for a young female podcaster. Apparently there are a lot of commenters here that are in her target audience, because they must have significant experience to level the accusations they have-I mean would CATHOLICS engage in rash judgment or calumny during Lent?

Somebody told me today that she complained about Erika Kirk’s pants (meh). I would be wondering more about whether she’s qualified to run Turning Point USA it was bringing in $85M in annual donations as of its most recent available 990 (FY ending 06/30/24), but then again, I’m not really sure what the Board’s objectives are, other than the determination letter pablum about “education”.

Oddly, I reviewed that most recent publicly available 990, Charlie Kirk was the CEO and was compensated at $285K/year, but one John McGovern “Manager” was making $420K.

What you should be aware of is that there’s a contingent of posters on here who have paroxysms whenever there’s any question of the conduct of Israel and whether the United States has any strategic interest that requires it to be a significant benefactor of Israel. And it’s a mortal sin to ask whether the generosity of donors such as Miriam Adelson is conditioned on support for Israel or Israeli strategic objectives. If she were Chinese, we would certainly ask these questions. If some corporation was dropping that much coin on politics, we’d assume they want something.

It’s odd, these same posters have had multiple opportunities to express outrage on several CWR columns about the church burnings and kidnapping, sex enslavement and murder of Nigerian Christians, such as the one below-you will note there is but one comment-mine.

    The Pitchfork Rebel
    February 25, 2026 at 8:14 pm

Apparently bores the media and the CWR commentariat.

    2026/02/25/nigeria-continues-to-bleed-endlessly-archbishop-concerned-about-senseless-massacres/

But as long as you’ve made enough public prostrations and protests to ensure that you can’t be called “antisemitic”, it’s ok to be bored by the martyrdom of Christians in Nigeria.

  16. “The Catholic Speakers Organization promises that all its speakers have been “rigorously screened and vetted” and are “diocesan approved.”

No, they aren’t all “diocesan approved.” I didn’t have to scroll too long to spot Duane Chapman of Dog, the Bounty Hunter fame as one of the listed speakers, with the caveat that he isn’t “currently a Catholic” but his talks have “heavy Catholic principles.” So I would call this a “let the buyer beware” situation.

So even if Anna Achtman were to set up an arrangement with this company, she would not be getting the benefits of joining an exclusive group of Church-approved Catholic speakers. That’s pretty unlikely anyway with over 400 listed speakers, some of which are immediately recognizable but many others which are not. I don’t know what the business arrangements with these speakers are, but I am doubtful that this company has exclusive representation agreements with Candace Owens or the others listed speakers. It does not come across aa a traditional speakers’ bureau. Perhaps people who want to speak at events sign up and the company advertises them on their website and provides some type of assistance with getting booked at events.

So as to the question posed by the writer, “But by what mechanism do Catholic organizations adjudicate whether a particular Catholic speaks with the imprimatur of the Church?,” that is making a big assumption that the Church, in fact, offers a formal process for vetting “Catholic” speakers. And that a private company would be bound by it.

  17. I am with Stella – totally agree. I was disappointed in the direction this article went. Candace is not anti-semetic. She is referring to the government of Israel, not Jewish people. I have been following her since Charlie Kirk was brutally murdered in broad daylight for us all to see. Something bigger is going on in this country, and Candace is trying to get to the bottom of it. I think she is on the right track which is exactly why everyone is attacking her. Over the last few years especially, isn’t that what we have seen happen time and time again whenever anyone tries to speak the truth? Watch for the pattern, if anyone says anything negative about Israel (again, what the government is doing, not all Jewish people), they are yelled at, shut down, labeled an anti-Semite and essentially “canceled” so no one will listen to them. Look at what happened to another fellow Catholic who was serving on the Religious Liberty Commission, Carrie Prejean Boller. She was fired for her questions about Zionism and antisemitism. What is actually going on in this country???

  18. While almost every comment before mine has been authored by individuals with a much higher grasp of Catholicism and the contents of the Catechism, I will still offer my criticism of Candace Owens. As she sits at her desk (with a Crucifix clearly visible in the background) she professes to have some authority to question the sexual orientation of President Macron’s wife….she routinely disparages Jewish people with a vindictiveness that screams antisemitism and she muddles her way through conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory, but worst of all, she openly does all this while raking in hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of dollars. I’m still befuddled trying to determine what Beatitude or what Commandment gives her the insight that these are issues that Jesus’ teachings would validate? Making money with the implied imprimatur of Jesus looking over your shoulder seems wrong…even to someone like me who is not as well-versed as those commenting herein.

  19. There are many posters here who seem to be quite certain that Candace Owens is an anti-Semite.

    They should produce the evidence.

    • No one can read Mrs. Owens heart. I’m praying for her as a sister in Christ. But the narrative she follows is clearly anti Semitic.
We can all be mislead by false narratives and conspiracy theories. This is just another spin-off of the Qanon nonsense.
It’s correct to state a narrative is wrong but only God knows what’s in each of our hearts and minds.

      • Mrs C: “But the narrative she follows is clearly anti-Semitic.”

        In what sense “anti-Semitic”?

In the sense of saying bad things that are untrue and which are, therefore, slanderous?

        Again, produce the evidence.

        • The evidence is available online. I don’t believe it’s fitting to quote that sort of thing on a Catholic site.
People who believe that narrative need our prayers.

          • What she has done is brought to the public attention the strong role played by Jews in some of the worst events of the last century: especially the Bolshevik revolution.

Prime examples: Genrikh Yagoda as NKVD chief expanded and developed the gulag system which killed so many Christians; Lazar Kaganovich’s role as Stalin’s executioner during the Ukrainian starvation holocaust (millions of Christians killed); We could also mention the interesting fact that 75-80% of the leadership in the Bolshevik revolution was Jewish.

It is not “anti-semitism” to point out historical truths.

Christians, especially Catholics, should be aware of historical truths and patterns of behavior associated with an ethno-religous group, so that they may act prudently when dealing with them.

          • Mr. Chris, with respect those aren’t correct figures & have become a part of conspiracy/scapegoating narratives. Jews represented maybe 5%-10% of the Bolshevik party & less than 30% of its leadership.
If I had been alive back then & been Jewish I’m pretty sure I would chosen to live under almost anything other than the forces behind the pogroms & oppression. But revolutions often just throw you from the frying pan into the fire.

          • Mrs.C said: “Jews represented maybe 5%-10% of the Bolshevik party & less than 30% of its leadership.

Our sources obviously differ and the percentage varies depending on what constitutes a leadership position.

Jews made up 4% of the population of Russia then, so even if your percentage is correct, a 30% leadership percentage is significantly disproportionate.

And again, the names of many of the most significant figures in the tragedy of the anti-Christian Bolshevik revolution witness to a heavy role played by Jews.

Leon Trotsky (and his financial backers in New York), Genrikh Yagoda, Lazar Kaganovich, Grigory Zinoviev, Ilya Ehrenburg, Yakov Yurovsky (murderer of Czar Nicholas)…the list goes on.

and, above all, don’t forget the spiritual godfather of the revolution: the infamous *Karl Marx.*

the fact is Candace Owens supplies a much-needed historical corrective to the excessive lionizing and valorizing of Jews which predominates in certain Catholic circles.

          • Chris Albrecht,

Nonsense! Jews as a closed community represented education even among Jewish peasants. It was part of their culture. Bolshevik leads for the most part where educated intellectuals. It is no more nefarious then that. Candace Owens is what we call in the biz a low IQ.

          • I thought it was Miss Rachel that got that award for trying to protect young GAZA babies and children from Israel’s terrorists.

  20. So much of what she puts out is nonsense. Erika Kirk was involved in Charlie Kirk’s death, Bridgette Macron is a man, etc. Why does anyone listen to her? Perhaps some perverse form of entertainment?

    • “So much of what she puts out is nonsense.”

Project much? Have anything other than an argument from personal incredulity?

Given the obsession of the international elite with transgenderism and sexual abuse of children, would it surprise you a bona fide elite WEFer took the plunge? Of course whether Brigitte Macron is male or female is secondary to being a child molester-an indisputable fact. Not sure what they call a tryst between a teacher and a student in France, but in Pennsylvania it is:

      § 3124.2. Institutional sexual assault.

“2001, diploma, IEP Paris; 2002-04, studied at ENA (National Administration School); postgraduate diploma (DEA) in Philosophy. 1999-2001, worked for philosopher Paul Ricoeur. Former senior official and 2004-08, Inspecteur des Finances, Ministry of Economy, in charge of the Commission for French Growth (Attali commission) and project leader; 2008, joined the private sector as Investment Banker (Partner), Rothschild. 2012-14, Deputy Secretary-General, Presidency of the French Republic. 2014-16, Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs of France. Since May 2017, President of the Republic of France.”

      • Bridgette Macron has children from her first marriage. She was never a man. As to her being a “child molester” that is up to the legal authorities in France, so I won’t argue that.
That was not the issue in question.

As far as my projection goes, are you a clinical psychologist? One of my degrees is in Clinicsl Psychology but I don’t diagnose over the internet like you.,

    • Conspiracy stories get clicks . Some folks do enjoy following conspiracy narratives & think it gives them special “inside knowledge”.
I have a couple family members who follow all that nonsense. It doesn’t make them any happier or wiser. It’s a shame.

  21. A long time ago (I can’t remember exactly when – within the last year or so) there was a piece on (I believe it was) you-tube in which she appeared with someone who claimed to have inside information about the Israeli attack on the ship USS Liberty in June of 1967.
It was just about complete anti-semitic nonsense, but the clincher came when the conversation switched to the assassination of JFK – her guest referred to Jack Ruby, who killed Lee Harvey Oswald, as ‘Jacob Rubenstein’, and she did not correct him.
I’m sorry to be so sketchy about the details, but – does anyone else remember that?
It’s sad to see what has happened to her.

    • I think it’s very sad also. We should be praying for her & anyone else caught up in these conspiracy narratives. It’s just another way satan hijacks those who could be doing so much good otherwise. Wasting their time going down rabbit holes & destroying their Christian witness. Not to mention the dangers it poses to our Jewish brothers & sisters.

      • The art of shilling includes not being obvious.

Tens of posts establishing complaining about “antisemitism” and few if any by you about kidnapped Nigerian Christians. You really, really need to stop freebasing Mark Levin.

          • The latest was already written.

You ever hear the late Bob Grant’s dismissal of his disingenuous callers?

            /2026/02/25/nigeria-continues-to-bleed-endlessly-archbishop-concerned-about-senseless-massacres/

          • Mr. Pitchfork, I don’t have a radio or TV reception at home so I’m not going to be familiar with that.

    • Response to me:

Google – Candace Owens USS Liberty. It was in December of 2024

I say again – it’s sad to see what has happened to her.

    • The attack on the USS Liberty was a knowing, deliberate act by the Israelis. This is established fact. They hoped to sink and murder the whole crew and blame it on the Arabs.

The fact that Jack Ruby’s real born name is Jacob Rubenstein is also established.

Jews often later alter their names in order to assimilate better (and sometimes to conceal their Jewishness–sometimes for operational purposes, as in the case Lev Bronstein (Leon Trotsky)).

Noticing and mentioning this is hardly “anti Semitic”

You will have to do better than that.

      • Chris Albrecht

That you are havering over an act of friendly fire that happened 58 years ago because it involved Da Joos is also itself hard not to notice. Further I notice you couldn’t likely tell me anything about the TCG Muavenet (DM-357) without googling it, but I never heard my Turkish buddy complain. Nor denounce America because of it But anti-Semites gotta anti-Semite.

        • How long ago was the welcoming of Jonathan Pollard by Netanyahu, maybe the most damaging traitor we’ve had and the sale of those secrets by the Israelis to the Soviets?

I’m still fascinated that “our” ambassador met with Pollard and seemed confused when questioned about it.

I think I’ll request a meeting with an ambassador, see if I can get on the itinerary.

        • I spoke of the USS Liberty incident because it had already been introduced into the conversation.

If you think it was a case of mistaken identity, you have not studied the issue.

By interviewing the USS Liberty’s survivors, Candace Owens is raising the American consciousness on this important event, an event which manifests the cynical and double-crossing character of the Israeli regime.

        • There’s an awful lot of name calling here.

I’m going to coin one. Scofield Evangelical Protestant Catholics Infiltrating Spirituality.

          SEPCIS.

          Pronounced “SEPSIS”.

    • From Wikipedia: Jack Leon Ruby (born Jacob Rubenstein; c.[a][b] March 25, 1911 – January 3, 1967) was an American nightclub owner notable for murdering Lee Harvey Oswald.

Jacob Rubenstein was born on or around March 25, 1911,[b] to Joseph Rubenstein, a carpenter, and Fannie Turek Rutkowski (or Rokowsky), both Polish-born Orthodox Jews residing in the Maxwell Street area of Chicago, Illinois. He was the fifth of his parents’ 10 surviving children. During his childhood, the parents often behaved violently towards each other and frequently separated; Ruby’s mother was eventually committed to a psychiatric hospital.[4]

His troubled childhood and adolescence were marked by juvenile delinquency, with time being spent in foster care.[4] He was arrested at the age of 11 for truancy.[4] A childhood friend of Ruby’s was the boxer Barney Ross.[5] From his early childhood, Ruby was nicknamed “Sparky” by those who knew him.[2] His sister, Eva Grant, said that he acquired the nickname because he resembled a slow-moving horse named “Spark Plug” or “Sparky” in the contemporary comic strip Barney Google. (“Spark Plug” debuted as a character in the strip in 1922.)[2] Other accounts say that the name was given because of his quick temper.[2] Grant stated that Ruby did not like the nickname and was quick to fight anyone who called him that.[2]

      • Jack Ruby’s bio is interesting to know. Thank you.
But to what purpose would referring to him by his former name be?

        • “But to what purpose would referring to him by his former name be?”

Wrong question. The right question is why does he have a “former name”?

I mean, if you are going to be strip club manager, it’s a legal occupation be proud of the public service you are providing.

Still no comments from you or the rest of the Zionists about the Christian miseries in Nigeria.

          2026/02/25/nigeria-continues-to-bleed-endlessly-archbishop-concerned-about-senseless-massacres/

So are you enjoying the war?

        • “But to what purpose would referring to him by his former name be?”

I don’t know. For those of us who are old enough to have been around when JFK was assassinated, it wasn’t necessary to mention. Most people back then were already aware that Jack Ruby was Jewish, without even knowing what his actual given name was.

        • The Rubenstein/Ruby issue was introduced in the comment boxes by a poster opposed to Candace Owens. He said that a guest on Owens’ show used the name “Rubenstein” in referring to Ruby, and that Owens’ failure to “correct” him was a sign of Owens’ “anti-semitism.” A very weak argument on his part.

  22. If anyone disagrees with Candace Owens on just about any topic she opines about the just don’t listen to her podcasts or read anything she writes. We live in a country where you’re free to say just about anything you’d like. Let’s stop the efforts at speech control. There’s a lot of idiots whose thoughts I find most objectionable but I simply don’t pay them any heed. Time to grow up, all.

    • Of course , no one is forced to listen to her but the variety of narratives she spreads are dangerous & can have terrible consequences.

      • I don’t disagree. Actually, I can’t agree because I don’t spend my valuable time listening to her. There are lots of people out there with strange notions. I can’t pay attention to all of them.

My guess is the leftists will eventually deal with someone whose opinions they find reprehensible by murdering them.

    • How “grown up” is it to ignore evil? Especially an evil that metastasizes. And it is not quite honest, as your mentor identified in your screen name would see it, to characterize concern for evil thought as “speech control.”

  23. Actually what’s really “dangerous and can have terrible consequences” is people who “TRUST THE GOVERNMENT” (FBI, CIA, ETC.) This is also exactly what Candace’s dear friend Charlie Kirk was preaching right before he got assassinated.

    • Have enough respect for a dead man by not falsely associating him with a demonic podcaster, not quite a “dear friend.”

  24. If you go online, you’ll find a plethora of people who express their idea that certain individuals ought to die, be murdered, run over with cars, etc etc. These are the people who pose an imminent danger to others and ought to be constrained. When someone actually says that every Jew you meet ought to be murdered, or shot, or stabbed then they need to be stopped. There are many individuals walking our streets who are ACTUALLY doing this to Jews. They’re the ones who need to be stopped. Inciting to violence is a crime and warrants detention (even though they’ll be judges galore who will release them back onto the streets). Personally, I find judges to be more of an imminent danger than Candace Owens.

  25. Owens appears to be what so many of her fellow extreme right media cohort are as well, a grifter, willing and able to attract attention by saying the most outrageous things possible (which equals engagements, which equals money). She is a child of the social media era, happy to exploit algorithms which scandalise and radicalise the uneducated and the unwary. She appears content to bear false witness and to spread hatred about people whom, we must remember, God loves as much as he loves us. What we do to others we do to Christ. Like so many, Owens no doubt compartmentalises her faith into a box to be broken open only when needed. Worse, she seems to use it as a weapon or a means to make more money. If only she reflected on the Gospel, accepted the grace of Christ, and acted accordingly to spread love and harmony rather than hate and division. The only problem being that love and harmony isn’t as lucrative.

    • Mark Loughran: Re-read your words; commit them to memory. They will be coming back to you when the Lord Jesus Christ accuses you in the same manner.

  26. Speaking in ordinary senses not strictly Catholic, Kirk is due to be vindicated in his own way which will shed light on those who commandeered the movement. The truth is bound to establish itself here, since it was always most apparent.

France has a long involved history concerning queerness in “civics”, cage aux folles etc. most likely rooted in masonic evil “special” to there.

The forces coming against Candace Owen are as formidable as those that moved against David Daleiden. They mean very much to be implacable and to overwhelm. Let me ask you all a question. Many these days cheerily have had tooth implants with bone graft to supplement the fixing. Where did that powder originate. Some of it is allegedly from pig bone and some of it is admittedly HUMAN BONE. The products that advertise as pig bone, well, you have to take them at their word, besides. Or do you just want them to walk all over you like that.

So when Trump & Team maintain support for IVF and other forms of abortion and fetal manipulation, it prevents the proper development of law and control and the identifying of the full slate due.

    • WHY is substantive evidence of racketeering (and murder and other criminal acts) being debunked by the Courts who are shutting down deeper investigation thus when what is called for is an ever widening investigative scope?

You can not displace evidence by just alleging a presumption, the law is never like that.

‘ Planned Parenthood states that they may donate fetal tissue at the request of a patient, but such tissue is never sold. According to Molly Redden of The Guardian, the content of the videos was “broadly considered to be false, the product of aggressive and misleading editing”. Fusion GPS, the production company Planned Parenthood hired in the wake of the scandal to debunk the videos, rigorously analyzed them and found what they considered to be “…’substantive omissions’ on Daleiden’s part. According to the investigation, the reviewers could not determine ‘the extent to which C.M.P.’s undisclosed edits and cuts distort the meaning of the encounters the videos purport to document.’ But, it said, ‘the manipulation of the videos does mean they have no evidentiary value in a legal context and cannot be relied upon for any official inquiries’ unless C.M.P. provides investigators with its original material, and that material is independently authenticated as unaltered.” ‘
