“The holy rosary is a powerful weapon. Use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results.” – St. Josemaría Escrivá

Leaves are starting to change. The weather is getting cooler. We can watch football several days each week. Yet those aren’t the only reasons that October is an exciting month. October is also the Month of the Rosary and Respect Life Month.

At American Life League, we have one additional special event to celebrate—the anniversary of the founding of the Marian Blue Wave.

The Marian Blue Wave is ALL’s rosary initiative that asks Catholics across the world to pray a weekly rosary with the specific intentions of ending all surgical, pill, contraceptive, and IVF abortion, that asks for Mary’s intercession in shutting down every Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities in the United States, and that seeks to change the hearts of those Catholics who advocate for abortion or abortion “rights.”

Since its inception, the Marian Blue Wave has been immensely successful, and though we will never know how many babies have been saved because of our collective prayers, we do know that we are making a difference. We must be, as we have prayer partners from all 50 states and from 31 nations around the world (more than 10,000 people) participating!

What’s even more incredible is that, from the time of its founding through today, we have seen 67 Planned Parenthood sites close.

That is truly a reason to celebrate! Fewer abortion clinics absolutely means fewer dead babies.

ALL purposely began the MBW during the Month of the Rosary and Respect Life Month, as we believe that this spiritual weapon will help end abortion once and for all. We have faith and trust in God; we simply need to persevere in prayer.

As we prepared to plan the celebration of the third anniversary of the Marian Blue Wave, we knew we had to plan something special. We wanted to step out into our community and pray openly and joyfully, for we remember that Christ taught, “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

God is always with us, of course, but we know that there is strength in numbers, and that is certainly true when we gather together in prayer, especially when we say the rosary for the most vulnerable among us.

So, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 9 a.m. (Eastern), we and many of our prayer partners will gather outside Planned Parenthood’s mega-abortion facility located at 1225 4th St NE in Washington, DC, to peacefully and lovingly pray the rosary.
