How to pray the Via Crucis with Pope Francis today

This evening in Rome, Pope Francis will lead the 14-station meditation on the Via Crucis, or Way of the Cross, at the Colosseum. The service will begin at 9:10pm in Rome, or 3:10pm Eastern time in the US, and can be streamed live online here.

Pope Francis will be leading the faithful through a series of meditations written especially for today’s service; those meditations on each of the 14 Stations of the Cross were written by Archbishop Giancarlo Maria Bregantini, the archbishop of Campobasso-Boiano and president of the Italian bishops’ Commission for Social Problems, Labor, Justice, and Peace. A PDF of the meditations as they will be read in Italian can be found here; the official English translation is here.

This evening at 8pm Eastern time, EWTN will air their broadcast of the Way of the Cross, which can be streamed live on their website.
