The sexualization of children under guise of “education” must stop

Today, it appears that certain sectors of society have absolutely no concern about robbing children of their innocence, and at times gleefully attempt to do so.

My, how the times have changed. In 2011, CNN published an opinion piece strongly criticizing TLC’s show Toddlers and Tiaras because it sexualized young girls. According to the article, “Instead of creating ratings-friendly buzz, TLC engendered outrage among millions of parents and grandparents, who are tired of seeing children exploited for ratings and robbed of their innocence by a greedy entertainment industry that will stop at nothing to make a buck.”

It went on to say: “Everyone in society suffers when children are sexualized, but those hurt worst are the children themselves.”

Today, it appears that certain sectors of society have absolutely no concern about robbing children of their innocence, and at times gleefully attempt to do so.

We have seen this with abortion and the abortion pill. And now we see this over and over with drag shows and drag queen story hours. It seems that so many people have become not only obsessed with sexuality but with foisting it on young children by having them attend events with people who dress as the opposite sex.

Several recent stories illustrate my point. One involves middle school students in Missouri being taken on a field trip to a show that featured people in drag. Parents were not made aware of the content beforehand, and many rightly complained. This led to the involvement of Missouri’s attorney general, Andrew Bailey, who said: “What this is . . . is evidence of a woke, left-wing ideology. And that’s why we’re going to stand up and fight back, because we’re going to make sure that our schools are about education, not indoctrination, and that parents have a say in that process.”

The group Nclusion Plus sponsored the breakfast. Its marketing director said the event was “high-brow and innocent.”

Last month, Indya Kincannon, the mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee, happily posted on Facebook that she attended an event called Drag Queen Christmas. According to the article, “Independent journalist Tayler Hansen appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight . . . to talk about how he was temporarily locked out of his Twitter account for blasting the ‘blatantly sexualized show’ as ‘grooming’ children. He shared photos and video where he said performers simulated sex, danced suggestively and made sexual gestures to the audience and a group of about 20 children.”

Last October, a pub in Eugene, Oregon, sponsored and hosted a “drag story time event with an 11-year-old performer,” which led to tense confrontations between protesters and supporters of the event. Supporters presented the event as being “against hate,” with the pub issuing a statement claiming that those angry about the event had “twisted what is a fun and innocent event for kids and families into something disgusting and vile.”

Also in October, the New York Post reported that a young girl sat in a restaurant watching a drag show and “an explicit viral video of a raunchy Texas drag queen show performed in front of a little girl sparked a social media backlash.” It went on to say that the video showed “a drag queen lifting her skirt and gyrating while lip-synching lyrics to the song ‘P—y’ by Lady as a confused kid looks on from one of the nearby tables. ‘My p—y good / p—y sweet /p—y good enough to eat,’ go the lyrics as the drag queen gyrates.”

According to the person filming, in the video “several adult women in her party look on with blank faces.”

These are certainly not the only instances of people in drag attempting to indoctrinate children—all in an attempt to make this behavior normal.

In fact, the “blank faces” of the women mentioned above is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. How long are we going to allow woke ideology to trample over our rights and the rights of our children to not only live in a society that doesn’t sexualize everything, but that turns school into a form of manipulation?

Schools are for education, not the propagation of woke philosophies. When we send our children to school, we should be secure in the fact that they are learning the fundamentals of English, math, history, science, and so on. Children should never be taken to drag shows. And they should certainly never have teachers who brag about teaching young children that gender is fluid, or who undermine a parent’s authority regarding the education of their children.

An Indiana counseling group recently addressed this topic on its site, saying, “Society would tell us sexuality is fluid. Research shows something quite different. Gender differences, boys being different from girls, is a highly researched and supported topic in the field of psychology.” The site further states that there are risks for pushing sexuality too soon, one of which is the fact that a “child’s brain is not ready to make sense of what they are learning.”

Indeed. Research has shown that human brains are not fully developed until the age of 25 or older. Thus, the brains of small children are simply too undeveloped to deal with issues related to sexuality. When we foist sexuality upon young children, we harm their development. When we harm children, we also harm families. And when this happens, society suffers.

Organizations such as Nclusion Plus throw out descriptions like “innocent” in an attempt to make those who oppose sound bigoted or hateful. But of course it’s not about discrimination. It’s about protecting children. It’s about teaching the correct science. It’s about truth and goodness. And it’s about teaching children to be happy in their bodies instead of altering or destroying them.

Contrary to what the world wants to teach, we are so much more than sexual beings. But, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church explains, sexuality “affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul. It especially concerns affectivity, the capacity to love and to procreate, and in a more general way the aptitude for forming bonds of communion with others” (par 2332).

These threats to our children and to families will not stop unless we speak up. Now is not the time to sit with “blank faces” and to refuse to teach the truth. Now is the time to protect children by speaking out.

If we don’t speak out now, we’re going to wake up one day soon and realize that it’s too late.

  1. There is nothing “high-brow and innocent” about taking children to any kind of drag show, drag story hour or PRIDE parade. Can you imagine the uproar, if a group of children were taken to a Strip Joint? Protecting innocence leaves children out of such immoral demonstrations.

  2. These issues are allowed at the State level.
These fall under homosexuality, LGBTQ + and Perverted Sexual Practice laws.

There are bills trying to pass these perversions — like in Maryland, HB0131/SB0054 — and those aiming to STOP this, like in Florida.

If you want to slow the spread of this perversion, pray AND act.
You aren’t placed in this moment of time, in this country to just
tweet and report about this. We’ve all been exposed to this on the
internet. The time to stop these bills is NOW and it IS possible.
    I know – I’ve done it.

Reply & reach out if you want to stop this at the State level.

  3. Thank you , not just for alerting readers to the cultural climate but also as an occasion to rejoice in seeing the ( ? unique ) ministry that the author is leading . Thank God too that we are blessed to live in times of much help given us through various channels and ministries . Having read that in exorcism , prayers that have specifications of targets in words can be more effective , training families and children in same may be a need and blessing , to make prayer life more interesting
too . The great need to be protected as well as to liberate the enemy afflicted – as mission areas of families . Many might know about the online ministry of Msgr . Rossetti –

The Holy Father too tries often to warn and advocate for vigilance and discernment – his compassionate heart grieving over the afflicted too . Targeting some of the areas he points to be focused in the binding and casting out prayers – such as for the spirits of ‘spiritual worldliness’/ hardness of hearts & all related spirits – making such prayers part of family prayers – ‘WE , in the Holy Name of Jesus, bind you and cast you out spirt of … sending you to the Feet of The Lord Jesus to be bound there never to return ‘ ..to help children go over the day also as an occasion of prayers for spirits of anger / hatred / seduction / gossip, doing as a WE in the fmly to let the wounds bring oneness, not divsions/ fears ..to praise and thank The Lord for His Power – may every danger / trial faced in our times help to bring forth an outpouring of seven / seventy times powerful measures to protect and purify hearts and lives, to blind Satan by the Flame of Love of The Immaculate Heart !
Blessed Feast of St.Paul Miki and companions – joyfully rejoicing in heaven to see their spiritual son return from a blessed trip to Africa ! 🙂

    • One of the most troubling developments in modern media/talking posts is the shutdown of the conservative leaning people, either directly or indirectly. (e.g., Newsmax has gotten the ax on the Direct TV etc.., then twitter was cutting people off as well, question whether there are any risks to the mRNA shot and they jumped all over you, and on and on)

  4. Well said. Not just the sexualization of children, but suddenly what USED to be abhorrent to us in the USA, the mutilation of children in the name of gender identity (as if a child could decide, for example, that his arm doesn’t belong to him and ask it be amputated), along with supporting a child deciding he/she is not a he/she is now celebrated as “inclusive” and those of us shouting from the rooftops are called “phobic” and “haters”. Appalling

  5. I was a sexualized child of “well-meaning” 1960’s parents. When I read of these stories something inside me dissolves in despair. It is the real knowledge of living unprotected and paying this price every day of my life. Confusion sounds so benign, but this confusion causes a paralysis of response to reality and the price of that paralysis is life-altering and life-ruining. In the distant past, we were so much more aware and honest about predation. Men and women were not allowed together without being chaperoned. We laughed at that so-called prudery. There was and still is a reason for it. I pray that Mother-Bear rage and Father-Warrior protector strength emerge like a tidal wave and sweep this filth far, far away from our children. Dear God, do we need this!

  6. How dare the Catholic Church, with its history, speak about the sexualization of children?
My comment here will never see the light of day.

  7. “grooming” of the most innocent of innocents was always a serious deviant crime committed by perverts who should have been banged up long ago. Once they were allowed to infiltrate politics and become puppetmmasters in the facade that is “democracy” there was no stopping them. No matter how deviant the deviancy becomes it is protected today, and celebrated. Sodom and Gomorrah lives…….

  8. The sexualization of children is possibly the most disturbing aspect of the ‘new” United States under so-called Catholic Joe Biden and the DEM party. Yes, very Catholic of him and his minions to allow a drag dressed person to remove their top and fondle their nipples on the White House lawn and on video. And the ‘Pride” flag flying dead center on the White House, obscuring the American flag for which our people have fought and died for more than 200 years. Beyond disgusting. This normalization of what is clearly a mental illness needs to be stopped. I am so glad my children are grown and I have no grandchildren at this point. I would not put them in a public school if they paid me. Just disgusting. We must watch carefully those rogue catholic churches too, which sponsor “pride” events which appear to assert approval of these sexually aberrant activities. It is up to the local Bishops and cardinals to KNOW what their pastors are doing or allowing and put a stop to it. “Tolerance” for this stuff has proved an extremely slippery slope. We have gone from offering normal respect to others who are different, to being faced with demands we accept and even participate in this madness as if it were ok and normal, something to celebrate. It is not.

Parents need to know if pro-drag and trans books are in their children’s libraries and DEMAND they be removed. No child under 18 years of age should be exposed to this twisted tripe.

Another indoctrination method to be aware of: I did read recently that school book fairs, used as fundraisers at many catholic schools, offered many such sexually inappropriate books. Parents need to question their school principals and individual teachers about this situation, and express your disapproval. A more local book seller without such materials might be used instead. Or, find another fundraiser. Doing NOTHING is not an option. Once innocence is gone, it is never coming back.

  9. The Democrats are in a race against time.

They have to find a way to normalize sex with children before the Jeffrey Epstein client lists are made public.

(Cue bumper sticker shut-down of thinking: “The calendar can’t tell me who to love.”)
