Happy New Year, all!
As the new year begins, there are changes to be found at Catholic World Report. On our homepage this
morning you’ll find an overview of these changes including the introduction of CWR’s new editor, Carl E. Olson.
You may know Carl as the long-time editor of Ignatius Insight
and the popular Insight Scoop
blog, as well as the author of
several books. As 2012 gets underway, Carl will be leading CWR into its online
future we will continue to provide our readers with the kind of hard-hitting
articles you’ve come to expect from the print edition of CWR, while expanding
the variety and timeliness of the content we offer as an exclusively online
publication. Subscribe to our eNewsletter here
, and stay up-to-date on all the latest CWR articles and new features.
We will also be bulking up our daily contributions to this blog, so be sure to subscribe to our RSS feed, here.
“I take on that title and responsibility with a mixture of trepidation and
optimism,” Carl writes. “Trepidation because I am keenly
aware of the standard of excellence that CWR has maintained for two decades,
and optimism because I think CWR has much to offer its readers in the years to
come, and I believe the Internet provides a means of responding to events and
news with a flexibility and immediacy not always available with print.”
