On April 10, Latin Rite Catholics celebrated Palm Sunday, which commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entrance into Jerusalem before he suffered his passion and death.
Before the start of Mass on Palm Sunday, the festive day is marked by a blessing of palm branches (or another local foliage) and a procession of priests and laypeople.
Sometimes, the local culture of the community is also on display, even in the type (or size) of the palms.
