The novelist discusses his newest work, "The Father’s Tale", with Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J., and delivers an address on Catholic literature

Michael O’Brien is a professional artist and iconographer and the author of several works of fiction and non-fiction, including his seven-volume series of novels published by Ignatius Press, notably the best-selling Father Elijah. His most recent novel, The Father’s Tale, has been praised by Peter Kreeft, who says, ““This is a magnum opus in quality as well as quantity”, and Thomas Howard, who has stated, ” Everything is here: suspense, poignancy, darkness, goodness, radiance, courage and  joy.”

In the first video, O’Brien is interviewed by Fr. Fessio in the Ignatius Press studio; the second video is of O’Brien delivering a recent address at Kolbe Academy/Trinity Prep in Napa California on “Catholic Fiction and Restoring Culture in an Age of Escapist Illusions.”
