Fetal development expert: “Everything a newborn baby does a fetus has pretty much done already”
The video below has been making the rounds—it is a segment from the “Today Show” highlighting some of the latest research on the development of unborn babies. According to the piece, “The Secret Lives of Babies,” researchers are finding that the sensory development and even learning capabilities of unborn babies as young as 12-15 weeks old may be more advanced than previously believed. “Everything a newborn baby does a fetus has pretty much done already,” says Dr. Bill Fifer, who studies fetal and newborn learning.
