The Holy Father celebrated the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at Rome’s Rebibbia Prison

Today Pope Francis celebrated the Mass of the Lord’s Supper with inmates and employees of Rome’s Rebibbia Prison. During the liturgy, the Holy Father washed the feet of 12 inmates, six men and six women. Rome Reports has video of the foot-washing:

Last year, Pope Francis celebrated Holy Thursday Mass at the Santa Maria alla Providenza Center, a Roman rehab and treatment facility for the disabled. The year before that—his first Holy Thursday as Pontiff—Francis went to a juvenile detention center in Rome.
